How many more times must Americans be reminded that history repeats itself, and that those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it? Perhaps we've heard it so many times that it goes in one ear and out the other, and we say, yeah, we know that, and just go on about our business without paying any real mind to it. And history just keeps repeating, not even being realized as repeating any more.

It's like saying "politics bore me" just before a tyrant takes over.
