It remains very hard to understand how abortion was ever allowed to become the "law of the land" when it was never legislated, and never even should have been adjudicated. Abortion is not in Article One Section Eight of the Constitution, and therefore it is completely out of scope for the federal government. It should never have even been addressed by any branch of the federal government; it is an issue subject only to state and lower jurisdiction, not federal.
