Collectivism and Meritocracy are mutually exclusive things. Collectivism crushes Meritocracy; Meritocracy cannot exist in Socialism. Merit is smothered in the Commune, where excellence is not allowed to rise to the top. Collectivism is a crushing of the natural order; a crushing of the competitive spirit. A forced marching of society into social-sameness.
