Expendable Income drives free market capitalism. Expendable Income is, definitively, New Wealth. It drives individual, family, locality and national economies. It drives the world economy. The more of it there is, the healthier and stronger the economy is, at all levels. The sole source of the creation of New Wealth of any nation is the independent citizen free to produce it, posses it and do with it as he pleases. Adam Smith said it way back in his 1776 publication of Wealth of Nations.

Citizens, and only citizens, make new wealth, definitively, expendable income.

Governments can only tax it or otherwise take it from them, and spend it; they cannot create it.
