I really thought Marco Rubio was smarter than this.

Surprise.

So, we have untold millions of criminal aliens here, and more coming all the time, going back and forth, smuggling, buiding terror-cells, and gang-banging, with all that entails. Drug trade, human-traffic trade, who knows what else.

But all that is concentrated on, by the bleeding-hearts and by the anti-Americans alike, are those most visible criminal aliens, meaning those who get a job somewhere and work. The fact that they broke the laws of at least two soveriegn nations just to get here, and that they continue to violate law every day that they remain here, is just glossed over by the big, broad, pity-party brush that says they just came here for a better life. Poor dears.

Well, no kidding. Didn't everyone who ever went anywhere do that?

Does any other soveriegn nation on earth have such open borders? No?

I wonder why not. Maybe they suppose it might be dangerous. Hmm.

They are not undocumented workers; they are criminal aliens.

They are not illegal imigrants; they have filled out no immigration papers.

We have no reason whatsoever to believe that they, or any particular percentage of them, have any interest whatsoever in American citizenship, or in assimilating into the larger American culture. In point of fact, we don't know a damned thing about them, except that they are aliens and they are here illegally.
