On the "inevitability" of an eventual Perfect Global Government, in the universally predicted "New World Order".

Is this "New World Order" idea divinely inspired, or is it the ongoing work of Satan?

Is it even possible? Everywhere you look these days, you see some teaching, or some agreement, or some acquiescence to the seemingly "well known fact" that the world is "evolving" toward some New World Order. Globalism. A One World Government. It is treated, in many minds, as if it were a natural phenomenon, a quite logical and inevitable end of politics and all political action.

Where the hell did this notion originate?

I don't know, but I have my suspicions. What prompted these words was, once again, the writing of Malachi Martin, in The Keys Of This Blood. The subtitle of the book is this:

The Struggle for World Dominion Between Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev And The Capitalist West.

The very idea of a Pope - but even more particularly, this Pope, whose teaching and life-example has had such a major impact on my life - might seek to establish Catholicism as a major geopolitical force to be reckoned with in this world, has shook me in my boots. I had to pause, and reread, and think, as I worked through the opening section of the book.

Malachi Martin was not some trifling author out to make a buck. His words have the smell of prophesy about them. When so much of an author's shocking output that is verifiable is verified, that which is not yet verifiable begins to assume the aroma of prophesy.
