Of all the worldly worries that operate to the detriment of peace in my soul, the greatest of these involve the Papacy of Francis. I am constantly fighting feelings of despair and hopelessness regarding the descent of American and world culture into absolute moral depravity and even a return to pre-Christian barbarity. It is only with the greatest prayerful effort that, within my soul, despair is conquered and hope restored. Just about every time hope is restored, Pope Francis says something again and ... here we go again.
