Psychological Projection is a defense mechanism in which the person defends himself against his own bad impulses or attributes, by, (1) denying them in himself, and, (2) attributing them to other people.

Political Projection is a typical Leftist (i.e. Marxist) trick, in which something bad is portrayed as good, and the target of the trick is damned as bad for opposing it; or, something bad is purposely caused to happen, and the target of the trick id damned for not resolving it. The trick leans heavily on emotion over intellect, and depends on making highly emotional appeals to the masses to gain political advantage.
