When we read Pope Leo XIII, we read the wisdom of the ages, firmly rooted in Natural Law. Beneath it all is the absolute fact of the existence of right and wrong, good and evil, salvation and damnation. Look to the agenda of one of our two Political Parties. Look to the main themes of Popular Entertainment. Look to the socio-political leanings of our News Media. Look to the "civics" being taught to children in formal education.

Everything Leo warns about in this letter is raining down on We The People, from all sides and all levels of what is left of what might be called civil society.
