The Pre-Civil-War Democrat Party was the Party that was perverted from the original Democratic-Republican party of Thomas Jefferson into the hellish slave-running pro-slavery Democrat Party that lost the Civil War, assassinated President Lincoln and then, with racist Democrat VP Andrew Johnson as President and their first political leader, the Post-Civil-War Democrat Party undid Lincoln's Reconstruction Program for the South, founded the KKK, passed the Black Codes and the Jim Crow laws, murdered and terrorized blacks, Catholics and other Christians and abolitionists who opposed them in any way.
