Has Science Gone Evil?

Science, alone, now establishes moral norms and fixes moral absolutes? How? What ever happened to the simple scientific quest for truth?

Separation of Church and State, properly understood, was established with the first clause of the first amendment in the American Bill Of Rights.

The secular government cannot mandate or dictate the religion of the citizenry.

But since that was undone by the unconstitutional and therefore illegal actions of the Supreme Court described in the Separation of Church and State treatment. The American government has been progressively and systematically establishing "science" (and supposedly scientific atheism) as a replacement for Christianity in American religion, and "science" as a replacement for the original American Judaeo-Christian ethos and moral code.
