He seems to be guided mostly by simple common sense, which is an increasingly rare and good thing these days. Trump's heightened, polished common sense is most frequently observed in his sharpened survival and business decision making. And those decisions have not always been the most moral way to go, but it would be a stretch to call them, overall, evil. I'm sure many would argue with that statement. But the record shows that he does not hate America, her Founding Principles or her Constitutional Basis. Quite the opposite; by all appearances he loves America and has always loved America. He has made a serious and strong connection with a huge segment of the American population. To the extent that he waffles and goes back and forth on various moral issues, he may increasingly be, and now observably is, affected by the moral opinions of the many American people with whom he has a strong, growing, two-way loving relationship.
