Who Are We?

Are we still Catholic when we reject any part of the Depositum Fidei? Are we still American when we reject and replace the Rule-Of-Law with the Rule-Of-Man?

Catholic laymen are on the horns of a dilemma. We are ordered to recognize the monarchy of the Church, the authority of the Magisterium and the teaching of the ordained clerics. But we are also ordered to learn, know and never reject any part of the Revealed Truth, laid down by Jesus Christ and His chosen Apostles.

What happens when our Monarch, the Pope, and his Bishops and Priests move away from or in opposition to the original and supposedly unchanging Revelation, which ended with the death of the last original Apostle?

Do we hold fast to the Depositum Fedei, or do we go with the "new" expressed opinions of the Priest, Bishop, Cardinal or Pope?
