Do you really think John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Establishment Republicrats give two whoops in hell if you "melt the phone lines" in protest against their actions? They are immune to it. They build the Party, and the Party protects them. The Party is everything, the Constitution is nothing, and you, the voter, are less than nothing. They represent the Party, not you.

The Party is where the money is, and where the concentrated political power is. The K Street Lobbyists support the Party, not the individual, and certainly not the Tea Party. The Fascistic Crony Capitalists give their billions to the Party. The Special Interests give their money to the Party. The Party, and the Party alone, decides what members of the Party to support with that money, and what members of the Party to oppose with that money.

The Party decides who does what, who gets what plumb assignments, who gets the most campaign funds, who gets extra Party support, and who gets banished to the desert. The Party gerrymanders member's districts out of existence, and thereby gerrymanders offending members out of office. The Party makes favored members rich through invented unrelated Earmarks on bills produced through Pork Barrel legislation, and the Party cuts legitimate benefits of unfavored members.

That's how American government works today. "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" has morphed into "You scratch my back or get out of Dodge."

Question: Where are Political Parties mentioned in the Constitution?

Answer: They aren't.

Political Parties have no Constitutional standing and no Constitutional reason to be any part of the governing of America.
