Yet it always seems to bear repeating that Capitalism is not a "system" of man; it is not a created or controlled thing, but a natural phenomenon. It comes into being only when men are free; that is, when they enjoy individual liberty, within reasonable constraints, to improve their own living condition. Men with such liberty engage in free commerce with each other, and that interaction creates the free market. This free market equals Capitalism. That's all it is.
