Lesson
Lesson from the letter of St. Paul the Apostle to the Colossians
Col 1:12-20.
Brethren: We give thanks to God the Father Who has made us worthy to share the lot of the saints in light. He has rescued us from the power of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, the remission of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. For in Him were created all things in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether Thrones, or Dominations, or Principalities, or Powers. All things have been created through and unto Him, and He is before all creatures, and in Him all things hold together. Again, He is the head of the body, the Church; He, Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the first place. For it has pleased God the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell and that through Him He should reconcile to Himself all things, whether on the earth or in the heavens, making peace through the blood of His Cross, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If My kingdom were of this world, My followers would certainly have fought that I might not be delivered to the Hebrews. But, as it is, My kingdom is not from here. Pilate therefore said to Him, You are then a King? Jesus answered, You say it: I am a King. This is why I was born, and why I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

Christ is King.
Secular Humanism, in a most peculiar way, denies that, while sounding and appearing to be agreeing with it. Secular Humanism emerged from the "enlightenment", which we prefer to call the "endarkenment", which itself emerged from the "dark ages", which we prefer to call the "brilliant ages".
The same era in which the Church developed the first Hospitals, the first Universities and the modern banking system, also gave birth to the secular humanism in which man set out to remake God in man's own image.
And, really, at the core, isn't that what all denominations try to do? To remake or reform faith, belief, the Church, the very idea of sanctity, holiness and "goodness", and how to live one's life to be more pleasing and satisfactory to man than to God? Note that the Catholic Church is not a denomination; it is the one and only one Church instituted by Jesus Christ. All the denominations, of course, deny that. That's what makes them denominations.
The Renaissance was actually more of a submerging than an emerging.
Luther and Melanchthon put the birth of the Catholic Church at 600 A.D., with Pope Gregory the Great, whom they called "The Pied Piper leading the Church astray". And, the word Catholic itself wasn't really used until the second century.
So what?
What identifies the Catholic Church today and back through history is the Pope. The Catholic Church is the only one with a Pope. The First Pope was Peter, the second was Linus, the third was Anacletus, etc., etc., etc., and you can see the whole historic list in The Popes Page.
The Catholic Papacy is the oldest and longest-lived human institution in all of world history, by a very long shot.
The point is, there is one Church founded by and on Christ the King, and a blue million denominations founded by various created human beings. The same "enlightenment" that gave birth to Secular Humanism gave birth to the Reformation that gave birth to the denominations, which themselves are giving birth to more and more denominations.
This is the day we call all to recognize the Kingship of Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords and Creator of all that is. If you don't recognize His Church, at least recognize Him. This is the day we hope to consecrate all of humanity to Christ the King.
An Election Prayer to Mary
O Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. O Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation we cry unto you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection. Look down with mercy upon us & touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God's law is the foundation on which this country was founded & that He alone is the true source of our cherished rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new culture of life. Amen!

The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

In 1925, Pope Pius XI denounced "the evil tide of secular humanism." He should have also denounced the evil tide of habitual drunkenness and domestic abuse. Those were the reasons for Prohibition in both the United States and Russia, which of course did not work, and added increased crime to the previous two vices.
Grave sins precede erroneous philosophies. Minds darkened by sin will believe all kinds of errors.
But popes, bishops and theologians ignore the 7 deadly vices, committed by real people and causing suffering to other real people, to fixate on esoteric philosophies, indulged by the elite classes.
The hierarchy and clergy need to re-focus on the 10 Commandments; and teach the 7 classical virtues to combat the 7 deadly vices.

In the "chicken or egg" question of which came first between sin and evil philosophies, both answers can be right in different circumstances. It may be argued, for instance, that Satan's philosophy predated Adam's sin.
And, it may be argued that sin predated Lenin's violent revolutionary philosophy.
And, again, it may be argued that Gramsci's "Permanent Revolution" predated this so-called "Post-Christian Era".
The Church has been infected with Cultural Marxism through the work of Soviet secret agents like the late Bella Dodd, but even long before that, Modernism infected all of Western Civilization, including even the Church. Prior to that, the Church did indeed preach the virtues versus the vices.
And there are still some who do. The Church isn't dead yet, contrary to the latest news.
