... the Kingdom of God has come upon you.  Matt 11:29. 

In Genesis, the first sin separated our first parents from the sanctifying grace of God, in the first split.  Cain slew Able, and he and his line became further displeasing to God.  But the sons of Seth sought the face of God and righteousness. 

Some of the sons of Seth married some of the daughters of Cain, causing further splits, between those who mostly sought to please God, and those who mostly sought the pleasures of the world.  The temptations of the world were winning in this contest, for the tempter never rests. 

The Great Flood settled that matter, leaving only Noah and his family to populate the world.  The Great Lord God promised by covenant to never again wipe out all of mankind.  But by that promise He did not prohibit Himself from destroying whole nations and whole peoples. 

But, perhaps inevitably, there were other wholesale cultural turnings and fallings and failures of man.  He sent Jonah to warn Nineveh of His coming wrath.  Nineveh listened to the warning, turned back to God, repented of their sins, and Nineveh was saved.  Abraham dared to argue with God over the number of just men in Sodom and Gomorrah to save them.  But God found not even ten just men there, and rained brimstone on the whole place, destroying every living thing. 

Can a God Who kills be "good"?  Well, He is God, and we are His creatures.  He judges us, we do not judge Him.  To make a poor analogy, suppose an artist makes a statue, and another makes a painting, and a builder builds himself a building, and a shipbuilder builds a ship. 

1. Do each of the things that were thus made - the painting, the statue, the building, the boat - belong to the one who made them?  
   Yes.
2. Does the one who created them have ownership rights over them?
   Yes.
3. Can the creator of the thing sell it, trade it or give it to someone else if he wishes?
   Yes.
4. Can the creator of the thing even destroy it if it no longer pleases him?
   Yes.

How is our Creator's ownership of us any different than our own ownership of those things that we create for ourselves?  What we are describing here are the natural private ownership rights of creators over their creations, by straightforward natural law. 

It is by man's choice that he is damned, and it is by their own conscious choices that whole peoples are destroyed.  It goes back to the old question of why we are here in the first place.  Why did God make us?  To share with Him the everlasting happiness of Heaven.  To share.  To have someone with whom to share joy.  Joy is increased in good company. 

Our purpose, according to the old Baltimore Catechism, is to know, love and serve God in this life, and to be happy with Him in the next. 

The dangerous word in that sentence is love, for love requires the liberty and freedom to love, which, of its own nature, includes the liberty and freedom to not love, or even to hate.  For what is love in the absence of freedom?  If love is not freely, honestly and willfully given, it is not love.  It is fawning, or acting; if it is not willingly and freely given it is not love, but something else.  Something wicked pretending to be love. 

Wanting our love, God gave us liberty to choose to love, and He gave us the respect to let us make the choice ourselves, and to even allow us to make free choices to ultimately destroy ourselves.  It is the nature of liberty that respect goes along with it.  You make your own free will choice and you live or die by that choice. 

After the Seven Plagues, and after the destruction of Pharaoh's army and the Great Crossing, and after the Forty Year purgation of the People of Israel in the desert, God used Israel to punish and even utterly destroy whole peoples with whom He was displeased.  Joshua destroyed them all, including women and children, beginning with Jericho. 

When it came to pass that Israel, too, displeased God, He used other peoples to punish Israel.  There was the destruction of the Temple and the 70-year exhile in Babylon.  He used Cyrus of Persia to restore the exhiled Jews to Israel and rebuild the Temple. 

God uses whatever and whomever He chooses to accomplish His will. 

But Lucifer, the fallen angel, the mere creature who would be like God, uses the world, and whomever in the world he can gain power over to accomplish his will, too. 

If none of this rings a bell or if you are an unbeliever or one unfamiliar with Scripture, there are more modern historical examples to look at.  America, for instance.  Many among her founders, and many later among the framers of her constitution, were moved to tears - they openly wept - at the clear recognition of the finger of God present in the design of government they had come up with.  It was inspired.  At two levels. 

First, at the truly revolutionary national foundational level, we have the American Founding Principles that were cemented and concretized for all time into the American Declaration of Independence. Unique in all the world and in all of world history, these principles are: 

1. The supremacy of fixed law over all men.  The law is written, it is known by all, and all men are subject to it. 
   
2. Equality of all men before the law.   From the highest to the lowest, everyone stands equal before the law.  No exceptions. 
   
3. All human beings have a legal right to continue to live
4. All men have a legal right to liberty. 
   
5. All men have a legal right to benefit from the fruits of their own labor, to prosper by their own diligence and industry, and to seek truth by their own lights.  
6. Men have a right to design, create and organize government to accomplish these ends and protect these principles. 
   
7. When any government is illegally acting to interfere with these principles and rights, men have the legal right to take that government out of existence and start over. 
   

Most important of all, all of these principles and rights are given by God, not man, and no man may ever put them aside.  No law may be made to interfere with these principles and rights of man. 

Second, at the truly revolutionary national constitutional level, we have the American Constitutional Principles that were cemented and concretized for all time into the American Constitution. Unique in all the world and in all of world history, these principles are: 

1. The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land, always.  No other law from any source may ever be superimposed above it.  No law may be created in any way to counteract anything in the Constitution. 
   
2. Citizen Sovereignty.  American Constitutional government was brought into being by the consent of the governed, and it continues to legitimately hold power only with the consent of the governed.  None of the rights spelled out in the Declaration, said to be God-given and Unalienable, may be abrogated or weakened by any government action. 
   
3. Limited Federal government power.  The areas subject to the legitimate legislation, execution and adjudication of law by the federal government are limited and enumerated, in Article One Section Eight of the Constitution itself.  If it isn't listed there, the federal government may not legally and legitimately address it in legislated, executed or adjudicated law.  
4. Separation of Powers.  The Constitution creates three co-equal branches of government, to legislate law, to execute law and to adjudicate law, subordinate to the Constitution itself.  No branch has any greater power or authority than any other. 
   
5. Checks and Balances.  Congress cannot pass a law without the signature of the President.  The President can Veto a bill, but Congress can override a Veto with a two thirds majority vote in both houses. 
   
   Not by the Constitution itself but by a legal case law precedent, the principle of Judicial Reveiw was established (Maybury v. Madison, 1803) by which a law may be struck down and nullified by the Court if it exceeds, violates or opposes the Constitution as written.  Similar legal precedents remain to be made in the future establishing Presidential Review and Congressional Review.  The Constitution nowhere grants special Constitutional interpretation to any of the three co-equal branches.  Just as the Court may nullify unconstitutional law, the President and the Congress should be able to nullify unconstitutional legal precedent set by the Court, to be null and no precedent from that day forward. 
   
   (Abusing Judicial Review, the Supreme Court has acted against the Constitution by adjudicating cases before it and establishing new unlegislated federal law via establishing new legal precedent.  Examples:
   1.  Black's gross misinterpretation of First Amendment protections against any official state religion, and against government interference with religious exercise in the 1947 Everson case, making absolutely new but un-legislated and unsigned  law, at the federal level.  "Separation of Church and State" is not in the Constitution.  It should be struck down and made null by Presidential Review or Congressional Review. 
   2.  Douglas' gross manufacture of new un-legislated and unsigned law in 1973 cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton established in federal law new "Constitutional" rights to abort unborn human babies.  Abortion is not even in the Constitution.  The Court had no legitimate business even addressing the cases, which were matters of local community standards.  They should be struck down and made null by Presidential Review or Congressional Review. 
   3.  Roberts' 2012 decision(s) legitimizing the extra-constitutional and completely unconstitutional Obamacare abomination.  Not only is there nothing whatsoever in Article One Section Eight about either health care or health care insurance, this disgusting law actually forces free citizens to buy something they do not want.  Roberts went so far as to illegally and unconstitutionally modify the law before he adjudicated it.  He needs to be impeached from the bench, along with every other justice who voted to support this "law", and every Senator and Congressman who voted for it.  The whole law should be struck down and made null by Presidential Review or Congressional Review.)  
6. Federalism.  National sovereignty, government authority and power is divided and shared between citizens, states and the federal government, by covenant, established in the Constitution itself, through the Amendments.  The ancient rule of subsidiarity applies.  Certain rights of the citizens that may not be abridged by government are set forth.  Whatever rights are not so set forth are not construed to not exist.  Whatever powers not delegated to the states nor prohibited to the states by the constitution are reserved to the states, or to the people. 
   

So we see that, for the first time in world history, we have a nation whose government is designed by the citizenry to protect the citizenry from the government itself.  We are the first to be able to say that we are a nation of laws, and not merely of men.  Men may come and men may go, but the law always remains, as a fixed peg in a sure place. 

What is its basis?  The idea of American government is born of the same basis by which its originators - the Founding Fathers and the Constitutional Framers - guided their lives: Christianity, in the diverse Protestant denominations in which they were raised, the Catholicism from which Protestantism sprang, and the Judaism from which Christ established His Church.  They said it, and they wrote it.  (See American Quotations.)  It's how they knew right from wrong.  Its how they first legislated Representative Law.  It was formed by the American guiding ethos, which was the guiding ethos of the citizenry.   

And that's how the revolutionary American idea became the American national government, and how we became the world's very first nation of laws.  In those days the people and the new government were inspired by God.  In their majority, and however imperfectly, the people were a Godly people, and they produced a Godly form of government, as best they could.  Imperfect, yes; messy, yes; but inspired, nonetheless, and quite workable. 

Today, it is all rapidly going down in flames right before our eyes. 

Why are we destroying ourselves?  Our nation's originators and our government's designers and our earliest statesmen warned us (see the quotations) about how we would fail if we ever turned from God, from high morality and from proper education of our children.  The most detailed of these warnings came from Alexis de Tocqueville, who warned exactly how it might come to pass.  What he declared about America was:

• American economic greatness stemmed from the combination of liberty and Christian "goodness" of her common citizenry.  (Military power always stems from economic power.  We became a military force to be reckoned with only after becoming the greatest economic success story in world history.)
• If and when American citizen "goodness" stopped, American greatness would go into decline. 
  
• The struggle between the political arguments supporting pure Democratic and the opposing Republican forms of government would be decisive, for Democracy would be the form that would destroy us. 
  
• When Congress discovered they could bribe the public with the public's tax dollars, the government would become ever increasingly corrupted.
• When voters discovered that they could vote themselves largesse from the public treasury, the voters would become ever increasingly corrupted. 
  

And that is what has been happening for over a hundred years, and that same process has gone on mega-steroids under Comrade Barack Hussein "Kiss My Ass Because It's Black" Obama, peace be upon him. 

On American citizen "goodness":  Did our Holy Scripture somehow magically change during the night while we were sleeping?  Is right and wrong now something other than it was when the inspired words were written?  Are sexual sins, such as fornication, adultery, sodomy, contraception, incest, masturbation, prostitution, pornography, etc., not sins any more, according to Holy Scripture? 

Well, if Scripture hasn't changed, then we must have changed, and now we are no longer a Godly people. 

We have popular TV shows hosted by open homosexuals, the world of celebrity and entertainment is dominated by homosexuals, serial marriage breakers and open fornicators, and we even have a major political Party whose best known and most popular success stories involve serial sexual predation, adultery, perjury and open hypocrisy. 

We have politicians play-acting at statesmanship sponsoring and promoting the legalization of everything from dope to abortion to homosexual marriage, and winning elections.  

Such abominations as abortion and sodomy have left the gutter and entered the mainstream, by force of law.  People now feel constrained to welcome abortionists and sodomites into their circles of friends, lest they themselves be ostracized and outcast.  It is not enough for the sinners to be "tolerated".  They insist that everyone on earth know that they are sinners, and they further insist that everyone now bless the sin, and celebrate it.  To eliminate the shame of it. 

Rather than returning it to illegal status and sending it back to the disgusting filthy gutter from whence it came.  It is now those who read Scripture and quote it who are not tolerated in polite company, whose speech is suppressed, whose constitutional rights are taken away and who are treated as pariahs and shunned. 

Tocqueville's first warning is upon us. 

On the Democracy v. Republic debate, Woodrow Wilson pushed Amendment XVII past a sleeping or mesmerized voting public to turn the Senate into just another popularly elected House, just like the House of Representatives.  And he got Amendment XVI passed, legitimizing tax on income, so that Congress could bribe the citizenry with public money.  All this in a one year effort.  And the Democrat Party has been trying for ages to find a way to eliminate the Electoral College, to make us into a pure democracy. 

Rush Limbaugh has artfully and accurately described the Marxocrat Party's building of what he labeled the Santa Clause Vote, to join the ever growing government purposely mal-educated Moron Vote that solidly supports Marxocrats, in solidarity with celebrities, the Entertainment channel, M-TV and Obamunist government advertised welfare checks and Food Stamps.  This voting block is huge and growing. 

Politicians of both Parties have learned how to bribe the voters with the voter's money. 

Voters have learned how to vote themselves largesse out of the public treasury. 

Tocqueville's second and third warnings are upon us. 

Sworn, implacable enemies of our Declaration and our Constitution are right here, in among us, wearing the false smile of the crocodile, while helping the process of the American decline all they can.  If you read Marx's Communist Manifesto, you know that everything in Marxist ideology opposes America as constituted.  If you read the Koran, you know that everything in Islamic ideology opposes America as constituted.  Both of these ideological abominations seek eventual world domination and the forced subjugation of all people. 

Yet, as we have shown elsewhere herein, it is not sufficient that we should grant constitutional freedom of speech to the sworn enemies of our constitution.  No.  We must go farther.  We must welcome them into all areas of public and private life. 

We must allow them into our schools to teach our children.  We must allow them into our universities to teach our college students.  We must allow them into the field of journalism to propagandize us through the "news".  We must allow them into major entertainment to make us smile, so that we will see that they are harmless, while they work to destroy us from within. 

We must even allow them to run for office, in which the winner must swear an oath of allegiance to the constitution, which would necessarily be a false oath.  We must welcome them into the ranks of our military, despite their ideological opposition to every freedom and everything we hold dear, and even in spite of any potential commitment to Jihad.  We must grant them top secret security clearances, in the military, and in research facilities and all major government projects. 

Today, I refer to the Democrat Party as the Marxocrat Party, because it is clearly dominated by Marxist ideologies of every sort, from Marxist collectivism and redistributionism right on through speech and thought control.  Marxism has made such inroads into the Republican Party that I now refer to it as the Republicrat Party, because it is now almost indistinguishable from the Marxocrat Party. It only play-acts at being the Party of opposition to the Marxocrats. 

Every single official and appointee in the whole Obamunist regime, from the President on down, is either a Marxist or a Moslem of some sort, or some combination of the two.  Our own elected, sitting government is an implacable enemy of the American Ethos, the American Declaration and the American Constitution. 

Systematic military weakening of America is underway.  Military spending - representing the smallest part of the (non-existent) national budget - is always radically cut by Marxocrat regimes, in theory to favor social programs - representing the largest part of the (non-existent) national budget - in the ongoing effort preparing for the downfall of America.  Now, under Comrade Obama, peace be upon him, the effort is redoubled. 

This is the principle of military deterrence.  If you want to avoid war, be strong, vigilant and always prepared.  If you want to invite war, disarm.  Very simple; nothing to it. 

It works for nations in the same way it works for citizens.  The reason they called the old Colt single-action army pistol "The Peacemaker" was that nobody with any common sense would mess with anyone, including a lady, who was holding one.  The old Pacifism and Disarmament movement is and always was bogus.  It's just another Marxist trap. 

"Mutually Assured Destruction" might sound truly stupid, except for one thing:  It worked.  It prevented nuclear war.  It was Ronald Reagan's Star Wars program to render all ICBM's obsolete and ineffective that economically broke the Soviet Union when they tried to keep up with our advancing weapons technology, but from a radically weaker economic base.  (Free people produce wealth; unfree people consume wealth.) 

Comrade Obama, peace be upon him, is doing everything in his power to weaken or eliminate American military deterrent force. 

So long as evil exists in the world - and evil will exist until He comes again - there will be ruthless conquerors looking for opportunity to conquer someone.  That is the way it has always been, and that is the way it will always be.  Look to the history of the world, and recognize that history will never stop, until the end. 

Whither American salvation?  Our morality and our ethos is being systematically destroyed from within.  Our economy is being systematically destroyed from within.  Our Principles are no more.  We are becoming a people of feelings and emotions rather than principles.  Immediate need, both real and contrived, have already largely displaced moral absolutes.  Our constitution is being not only ignored, but directly violated, and most of the voting public is still completely oblivious to it, thanks to the successful professional propagandizing of the Marxocrat News Media. 

It is being done on purpose, and by a plan. 

Anti-Christian Conditioning.  The true source of America's automatic wealth production and economic power came out of twin requirements for a pure nation of laws to successfully exist and prosper:

As Tocqueville wisely pointed out, the typically American high levels of citizen liberty could only safely exist in a population that had a self-controlling high level of morality.  Since morality stems from and is inseparable from religion, that means that a highly liberated population must be a highly religious population.  This was pointed out early on, not only by Tocqueville, but even earlier, by John Adams, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Daniel Webster, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, etc., as shown in American Quotations. 

Social opposition to Christianity has, under Obamunism and Marxocrat Party direction, aided somewhat by the "tolerance" of the Libertarian movement, become mainstream.  It is the new Social norm.  Christianity is, where it is not mocked and ridiculed, openly opposed, in science, formal education at all levels, and in news and entertainment. 

Legalization and government protection of anti-Christianity is what gave birth to such heavily protected national abominations as the gigantic American abortion industry and the gigantic American masturbation industry.  To our everlasting national disgrace. 

The strong anti-Christian may be counted upon to vote Marxocrat. 

Conditioning for Sin.  Sin is addictive.  Sinful behavior is self-sustaining and self-fertilizing.  Sin, of whatever nature, has the same effect on the human nervous system as any addictive drug or alcoholic product.  It perverts human nature sufficient to make the practice of the sin a continuing, constant requirement to calm new symptoms of anxiety, nervousness, depression, etc., which automatically increase in the absence of the practice of the sin. 

Pornography in particular, and all the related sins that stem from pornography - masturbation, perverse sexual practices, even sexual predation - become just as obsessive and just as compulsive and just as overpowering as any substance abuse.  The more the victim sins, the more he wants to sin, the more he feels compelled to sin, and the more difficult it becomes to stop sinning. 

Social tolerance of sinful behavior in America has, under Obamunism and under Marxocrat Party direction, become social encouragement and legal protection of sin.  The government has become more than a mere "enabler" of sin; the government now actually legally promotes sin and sinful behavior, and makes "hate" laws legally restricting speech, private business, employment and all social interactions of opponents of sin and sinful behaviors. 

The sinner who wants to continue in his sin can be counted upon to vote Marxocrat. 

Welfare Dependency.  If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.  If you teach a man to fish, he feeds himself for a lifetime.  The diabolical Marxocrat plan is to give the man so many fish over such a long period of time that the man forgets how, and can no longer fish for himself.  He becomes a dependent, which is the opposite of independent.  He is enslaved, but he doesn't even see it.  All he wants is his daily fish, which has become for him an entitlement, and to be left alone.  He has a right to his daily fish. 

The welfare dependent may be counted on to vote Marxocrat. 

Ghetto Plantation Slavery.  That the Marxocrat Party - the Party of slavery, of the Klan, of Woodrow Wilson, of FDR, of Segregation Forever, of Jim Crow Laws, of the Fire Hoses and Police Dogs of Selma, of all opposition to Martin Luther King Jr., etc. - could gain for itself over 90% of the American black vote, quite consistently, is a remarkable thing.  It testifies to the success of "The Big Lie" when it is propagandized through a major political Party as well as through formal education, the news media, entertainment and even publishers, through propagandized text books and falsified history. 

American blacks, in their obvious majority, have been convinced through false Marxocrat propaganda that America herself is their enemy, to the point of full alienation.  They stand apart and refuse to assimilate into the larger culture, as has every other ethnic and racial group, including even blacks not of original American slave ancestry.  Blacks who immigrate here from elsewhere do well here, and even make themselves millionaires. 

American inner city blacks live on plantations of their own creation.  They don't even see that they have made themselves slaves, to a combination of government entitlements and criminal activity.  The Marxocrat Party has successfully destroyed the once strong black family, and newer generations of blacks are suffering the consequences.  They live by the meager benefits handed out by white sugar-daddy Marxocrat politicians, and studied violation of hated "white man's law" wherever they can get away with it. 

The Marxocrat Party, aided by formal education, news media, entertainment and celebrity, and, worst of all, so-called Black Leadership, feeds, nourishes and grows anti-white racism among America's black citizenry. 

Ghetto Plantation Slaves may be counted upon to vote Marxocrat. 

In Summary, bad drives out good.  Sin drives out holiness.  Vice drives out virtue.  Dependence drives out independence.  Feigned disability drives out real ability.  Sloth drives out a work ethic.  Minimalism - what's the least I must do - drives out ambition.  Hate drives out love.  We become what we do.  We become who and what we associate with the most.  If we avoid Scripture, if we avoid all that is good, we cannot expect Scripture or anyone or anything that is good to pull us out of our falling. 

If we do not recognize that we are fallen, we will never rise. 

The most successful thing about Marxism is that the many various kinds of recruits to the cause, even from the revolutionaries themselves, and on through the agent provocateurs, the useful idiots, the fellow travelers and sympathizers, are never even aware of the fact that they are being set up as future victims until it is too late.  Even among the revolutionaries who are driving the bus, who you would think would know all about it, there are those who actually believe that the ideology of Marxism works, or can be made to work. 

Go figure. 

America's Salvation, if it comes at all, will not be pretty.  We have allowed opposition to our American National Ethos, our Declaration and our Constitution to grow for far too long, and it has now become a time of severe division.  As we have said before, Truth Divides.  We cannot hope to slowly or gradually win over the self-enslaved populations of near hopeless dependents, profligate sinners, twisted perverts, common criminals, racists and anti-Americans. 

Division was ugly during the Revolutionary War.  Many suffered due to this horrible division, but America was better off for it afterward.

If Constitutional America is to survive at all, then the coming division is likely to be as bad or even worse than any that have gone before.  As it was pre-revolution, when the rebel father faced his own loyalist son - as it was pre-civil war, when the abolitionist brother faced his own pro-slavery brother - so it is in this pre-division American situation.  It begins one man at a time, and one examination of conscience at a time. 

Is the American idea of being a nation of laws worth it?  What is liberty worth to you? 

Decide. 

America is nothing without God.  That's why we wrote about America's Original Consecration.  That's why we wrote American Re-Evangelization, and that's why we wrote Deep Reconciliation.  The Founders, the Framers and Tocqueville were all right about that.  Christian faith has to come first; Christian morality will flow from it, and they together, once restored, will restore proper education. 

Without faith, high morality and good education, the American system fails.  Very simple; nothing to it.  Only a voluntarily moral and just people can be trusted by government with high levels of liberty.  Furthermore, if we are not a voluntarily moral and just people, then it will do not good to take down this government and build it anew, for whatever we would build would be just as immoral and unjust as we the people. 

We either turn back toward God, or we just become another enslaved nation among the many, tossed this way and that by powerful masters of evil. 

Look for a Presidential Candidate who might, as his first act in office, call the people to a period of repentance, contrition, fasting and prayer.  Look for a man (or woman) who will declare whatever is clearly unconstitutional to actually be unconstitutional, null, void, and no law from that day forward. 

Look for candidates who will seek to defeat, rather than join or appease or compromise with any of the divisive splinter groups created under the Marxocrat "Big Tent" political anti-constitution stratagem.  Look for candidates who will call for impeachment of Justices, judges, Senators and Congressmen who clearly violated their oaths of office, the constitution itself, or who clearly and purposely acted against life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the public good. 

Turning away from God is TRMITM¹⁸ , and we're not going to get out of it unless and until we repent and honestly change, one man at a time.

We can get back to a federal government that only legislates, executes and adjudicates law within the limits of Article One Section Eight of the Constitution.  We can do the things recommended in the Fixing America pages, and we can kill the giant bureaucracies (or soviets) as recommended in the Cut the Spending pages.  But none of that would do any good without a major conversion, of epic proportions, at the national level. 

If we were to make ourselves into purely Constitutional America, we would be back to the old principle of local rule by community standards, rather than having blatant immorality imposed upon the whole nation through extra-constitutional and unconstitutional federal law and regulation. The rule of subsidiarity would apply. 

• Racist minorities who choose racial ghetto life to assimilation would be free to live in and destroy their own political open cesspools of corruption like Detroit. 
• People who enjoy public highlighting, celebration and promotion of open, public, preening homosexuality would be perfectly free to do so in places like San Francisco. 
• People who enjoy practicing or participating in prostitution would be perfectly free to do so in places like Nevada, where the voters love that sort of thing. 
• People who want their kids to grow up smoking dope would be able to do it anyplace the local voters allowed such a stupidity. 
• People who would like to feed the abortion industry with their dollars and their unborn babies would still be free to do so wherever the voting majority was depraved enough to allow such a thing. 

That's pretty much the way it was before any of these abominations were legally (but unconstitutionally) forced upon the whole nation by the evil trickery of the Marxocrat Party. 

Christian Principle tells us that no one, anywhere, should ever be able to choose evil through any democratic process.  Such things should never even be up for a vote, I know; I know.  But here we are. 

We have to start at the federal level, or America is lost.  If we succeed at the federal level, then we may have time to work on the local problems.  But not unless and until we get this amoral gorilla off of the neck of the nation.  And that means breaking relationships.  True conversion means starting clean and staying clean.  

You cannot avoid it.  Truth Divides.  That's the way it is. 

Decision Point: Will You (We) Stand in Truth, or Lay Down with The World? 

We may be at the exact same Decision Point at which Nineveh was saved, and Sodom and Gomorrah were lost. 

Decide. 

It is Holy Week.  As Lent draws to a close, and the Passion approaches, it is good to meditate on the path to the glorious Resurrection.  It goes through the Passion and the Crucifixion, and death.  You can't get to everlasting life without going through the pain.  He didn't say it would be easy.  He said, pick up your cross, every day, and follow me. 

America's death to the world and rebirth in faith begins with you. 

Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life.  Please God and live forever.

Just because you don't like Roe v Wade, separation of church and state, affordable health care, etc., does not mean you can just point at them and declare them to be null.  There has to be a legal process to follow and nothing like that has ever been done.

That's exactly what the Court did in each of your examples. 

And the Court had never done such a thing until Maybury v. Madison, which established the "precedent" in law. 

There is no legal reason that the other two co-equal branches of government cannot do the exact same thing in undoing unconstitutional precedent.  Or unconstitutional law, regulation, executive order, etc. 

"Judicial Review" was not established in the Constitution, but by establishing a legal precedent in law. 

There is a first time for everything.

In those three cases the only difference between my recommendation of declaring a law null (as the Court did in Maybury v. Madison) and what the Court actually did, is that the Court just arbitrarily established completely new unlegislated law by gross misinterpretation of the clear English of the Constitution.  New law is the exclusive Constitutional domain of the Congress. 

The Court has no such special interpretive power over the Constitution.  The Constitution is written in perfectly clear English, and the Court is as equally imperfect as the other two co-equal branches of government, and equally authoritative. 

Again, there is a first time for everything.

Please don't take this wrong.  I am a long time fan of your wonderful writing. 

You speak correctly about love, but I fear that you may have lost it.  At least the ability to love your enemy.  Elsewhere, you said you might one day break bread in peace with a Viet Cong soldier, "but with a Fonda, or a Cronkite, or a Kerry, never."  Do you not feel called by your faith to forgive them, too?

Long Time:

Lord, how I have thought about it.  I have been tortured by it.  I have talked to multiple priests about it, in and out of the confessional, with varied responses; none actually condemned me or denied me absolution.  But that is not to say that there have not been long, long discussions, and untold hours of soul searching and prayer. 

Forgiveness comes in two parts, born of the virtues of Love, and of Humility.  We are called to forgive and to forget.  Forgiving comes from Love; but forgetting comes from humility.  If I lack in any virtue, it is humility, because I cannot forget.  I simply cannot forget. 

I get to the point of forgiving them, and I try to pray for them, and I choke on the words, because I cannot forget. 

One priest helped me a great deal when he spoke of the division and the sign of contradiction that Christ Himself was, and that His Church is supposed to be.  His pronouncement regarding His betrayer, Judas Iscariot, was "woe to that man by whom the son of man is betrayed!  It would have been better for that man if he had never been born." 

I take that as an indication that, although we are to turn the other cheek, love our enemies, etc., that teaching has reasonable limits, and every sin is not forgivable.  Particularly sins of enormous deceit and treachery, and sins for which there is no repentance. 

I have always been a speak the truth, support the truth, then shake the dust and move on kind of guy.  Maybe that's not the best kind of evangelist, but that's the kind I am.  I don't waste time on obstinate unrepentant sinners.  Everyone is given a choice in which way to go in this life; I have made mine, and they have made theirs. 

I can almost forgive them; but I can never forget.
