Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswald is horrified, HORRIFIED, that the unanimous SCOTUS decision will now allow the voters, and not her, to actually decide Presidential elections in Colorado. Imagine that. The VOTERS. How awful for "Our Democracy".The first Democracy-Hypocricy is that America is not even a Democracy. You would never know that if all you read or hear are political speeches.
Pathetic mal-educated American adults hyperventilate over perceived false threats to "Our Democracy! Our Democracy!" even as their own equally mal-educated, pampered and mollycoddled children hyperventilate over perceived false threats to "My Self Esteem! My Self Esteem!". Potential over emotional public tantrums form the basis of Feelings-Based Politics. No one is supposed to ever have their feelings hurt by anyone; everyone, and I mean everyone, has a "right" to demand that everyone else accept, bless, fete and celebrate them and everything they say, do or think.

(Unless your name is Trump, or you are a MAGA voter, or you think America was ever good, or you are white, or male, or heterosexual, or masculine, or paternalistic, or Christian, or Jewish, or patriotic, or a member of any other majority.)
Say thank you to the unconstitutionally existing and unconstitutionally regulating federal department of education. Not only does the constitution not authorize it to pass and enforce regulations with full force of law behind them, it doesn't authorize it to even exist in the first place. Yet there it is, dictating curricula and subject matter from on high, governing us from among a plethora of other unconstitutionally existing and unconstitutionally regulating treasure-sucking huge federal bureaucracies, collectively literally ruling America from outside the constitution.
However do you suppose Americans were educated before the federal government unconstitutionally took over all education? Could it be that the private sector schools of the hinterlands, including home schools, knew more about proper education than Washington DC's provincial, aloof and insulated politicians and bureaucrats?
We are no longer a largely self-governing citizenry living in largely self-governing sovereign states. We are being administered, by bureaucrats, acting on behalf of the unconstitutionally existing and unconstitutionally ruling Political Parties.
Democracy Is Impractical And Doesn't Work
Pure democracy is even more impractical than socialism as a system of national government. The reasons are that,
- Majorities can be and often are wrong.
- Voters can be fooled and manipulated by politicians.
- National security often demands quick major policy decisions without time for any national election processes.
The Republican form of government has proved to be the best form of tempering democracy and still providing representative government.
In his Democracy In America Alexis de Tocqueville, volume 1 in 1835 and volume 2 in 1840, de Tocqueville predicted that the American republic would only survive until:
- The politicians learned that they could bribe the voters with the voter's own money by promising them largess from the national treasury.
- The voters learned that they wouldn't have to work so hard for a living if they voted in the politicians who promised them the most largess.
- The politicians and the voters of this social-spending thinking came to political dominance over the nation.
- The nation would then fall into economic collapse due to the fiscal irresponsibility of the politicians and the near total dependency of the voters.
Only a self-sustaining citizenry produces new wealth; citizens who produce the most new wealth are self-governing. A moral and self-governing self-sustaining citizenry drives Capitalism, which is the exact opposite of government-driven Socialism. Adam Smith said it long ago, in his 1776 Wealth of Nations:
- Citizens and only citizens make new wealth.
- Governments can only take wealth and spend it.
Citizens make the most wealth when they are free to do so, and allowed to prosper from their own industry.
Citizens make the least wealth when not allowed to prosper from their own work, but must share their wealth with the rest of the population.
The original Democrat Party, which would morph into the Marxocrat Party we see today, came to be to fight the abolition movement and keep the black slave trade alive and strong.
The original Republican Party, which would morph into the Republicrat Party we see today, came to be to politically support abolition and oppose black slavery.
Both Parties, as all political parties are wont to do, have become
- Power-mad competitors for raw governing power.
- Career paths for professional rather than patriotic politicians.
- Shelters for the criminal accumulation of personal wealth.
The biggest difference between the two major American parties is that the Marxocrats are now totally Marxist-Socialist, Globalist, which is to say anti-American. And the Republiocrats, while just as corrupt and power-mad as the Marxocrats, exist mostly to oppose the Marxocrats, but not too much. They always find ways to compromise the constitution and America's better interests in favor of bipartisan cooperation to "get things done", even if those things are anti-American.
Call it inter-party professional courtesy. Or honor among thieves.
The real reason the Marxocrats worry about "Our Democracy" so much is that they are Marxist, and they now aim to bring America down, through corrupted democracy.
