How did we, as a people, ever come to believe so many silly things?
We have discussed, perhaps unto death, the differences between subjective and objective truth; perception versus reality. But in the seeking of actual reality on any matter the properly formed conscience is the essential tool. If his conscience is not properly formed, the seeker is quite unlikely to arrive at actual reality.
Conscience contains the word science, from the Latin Scientia: to know, or, knowledge. It begins at an inner self-knowledge, and bases everything it tests on an inner moral standard: the self-knowledge of what is right, and what is wrong. Right and wrong equate exactly to truth and error.
The properly formed conscience begins life, in the infant or small child, with the concept of Divine Creation.
The objective quest for truth correctly begins with the presumption of creation, and then branches out from there. This was always the proper beginning point of material science, until the Enlightenment and Modernism began to deny creation and a Divine Creator.
"Modern" parents and teachers who deny Creation contribute to improperly formed consciences in their children, by changing their basis for determining what is right and what is wrong, which, again, equates precisely to what is true and what is false.
Any error at the beginning of a scientific process seeking truth leads to greater and greater errors along the scientific path of any quest for truth.
Adults who "guide" children with "let your conscience be your guide" without having properly taught them to differentiate between right and wrong, which is to say between reality and falsehood, assassinate children's opportunity to ever properly know the fullness of truth.
The cultural movement into error is a generational thing.
Failure to recognize the beginning point of matter - creation - is to begin to try to explain matter by perception, rather than by reality.
The problem is that perceptions are of infinite number, but there is one and only one reality. Reality is impervious to any perception of it. Truth simply is.
We have recently castigated the medical/scientific "Experts" being trusted to guide the world through the CommieVirus crisis as being Stupidasses. And we have recently castigated ourselves, meaning American culture, as being overly gullible.
Where is the science behind the multiple projected CommieVirus infections and deaths that all proved wrong, again and again?
There wasn't any; the projections were all based on computer models and statistical guesses. Perceptions, in other words. Someone's purely subjective opinion. Kind of like media polls. If polls were actually any more accurate than the computer models quoted by Fauci and Birx then Comrade Madame Hillary would be President today.
Where is the science behind the six-foot social-distancing rule?
There isn't any; it has never even been tested. It is just another human perception among the many; a purely subjective personal opinion.
It would appear that, if I am correct and most of the rest of the world is wrong, that both the most highly lettered among us, as well as the lowly hoi polloi, have been mal-educated from the very beginning point of our educations, however lowly or lofty our educations may have been.
If God is out of the equation, only perception remains. Objective truth cannot be arrived at, and the only "truth" left standing is Subjective Truth. A perception; nothing more and nothing less.
We have already arrived at the point where respected people of high position will say and believe that there are many moral standards, none greater than any other one; there are many faiths or belief systems, none better than any other one; all beliefs are the same; all moral norms are the same; all ways of life are the same.
And we, for the most part, do not recognize that as a social insanity.
Let alone being silly.
We have priests, ministers, rabbis, a Pope, doctors, nurses, physicists, biologists, chemists, botanists, professors, teachers, Senators, Congressmen, judges and even Supreme Court Justices who believe that men can mate with men, women can mate with women, people can and should choose their "gender", people can and should change whatever they are to be something else, by legal right; that pregnant women can and should abort their own babies, by legal right; that polar bears are actually going extinct; that man is destroying earth and whoever can ought to colonize Mars, quick, while man still persists against the threat of himself.
Am I really the only one who sees all this as a loony-tune episode?

God Denial = Nature Denial = Science Denial = Nonsense.
Falling into God Denial always leads into simple foolishness, and that path always ends in utter insanity.
The Elite, Effete, Upper-Class Science-Deniers of the New World Order.
Denial of God is denial of Truth, which leads to denial even of solid empirical facts that do not support the inevitable man-made alternative ideology.
Are the real "Science Deniers" in the top rungs of society, or the bottom?
How is it that we who are called Science Deniers are the only ones who ever actually employ the Scientific Method?
The REAL Science Deniers almost always turn out to be in serious God Denial.
To ignore the absence of Scientific Evidence is to ignore Nature, and be a true Science Denier.
Truth Divides. Truth is Reality, and Reality does not change.
Truth is Constant and Persistent; Error is ever growing and ever changing. Error is Falsehood, or Lies. Truth Divides between Reality and Unreality.
Truth is the only thing we can Unite on. Yet Real Truth Divides.
Truth Divides, because Truth Hurts. Any "Truth" that indiscriminately Unites is a False Truth.
Faith versus Atheism: Is atheism really just a silly superstition?
The Faith versus Atheism argument is at the root of every other important argument.
First, give God Hid due, and all the little things will take care of themselves.
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.
