The Pre-Ordained Club Candidates of Both Parties.
The Party Proposes; the Club Disposes; The Media Clears The Way.

The fix is in; everybody in "The Club" knows it. The rest of us are supposed to be too dumb to figure it out. "The Club" is the high society of the inside-the-beltway crowd of Washington, New York, Northeastern and California filthy rich Leftists who actually run the country. "Establishment" members of both Parties are members, as are all the TV and print big shots of Journalism. Most candidates desperately want membership; that's where the real power is. That's were you can rub shoulders with the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Hollywood Nobility, all the big Leftist foundation and fund CEOs, Union Leaders, leading Academics and Deans of Universities, certain Leftist Catholic Cardinals, Kennedy s, Rockefeller s, and who knows, George Soros might even walk through the room. Journalists will do, and have done, anything to gain and keep admission. So will candidates for high political office. Membership in Washington DC high society is strictly limited, and comes at a high price.
It is a highly select, elite, effete, snobbish social club, steeped in Leftist nonsense, and no one who does not toe The Club Line gains admittance. No one bucks The Club.
The Club owns and operates both Political Parties. The Parties operate as two separate competing teams, but with essentially the same coach and the same owners. The object of each game is not so much to do the things the people in the stands expect to happen in the game, but rather to keep the people's attention on the game while the stadium itself, and The Club, grows and prospers, at the expense of the people, who are concentrating entirely on the players and the teams. As the stadium slowly and steadily morphs into a prison.
The recent so called debates pretty much proved the point. Bernie Sanders purposely and skillfully, as if by script, getting Madame Hillary off the e-mail server hook to the cheers of the Moron Vote audience should have sealed it for any thinking observer. He handed her the nomination; it is clear The Club got to him, if it didn't own him from the start, and everybody now knows Madame Hillary is to be the Marxocrat Party nominee. All the Journalists took turns publicly telling Joe Biden he didn't have to suit up after all, because Hillary's got the ball now, and nobody in her Party and nobody in The Club's media is going to give her any grief over anything at all.
They just haven't figured out what to do about Trump yet. But they're working on it.
On the Republicrat Party side of things, generally, the Party, owned by The Club, tries to put forward with all available funds the candidate most loved by The Club and most hated by their own base, which is to say, conservative Christian Constitution loving Americans. The two things The Club hates the most are the Constitution and conservative voters. Because the Constitution protects the citizens, and conservative citizens protect the Constitution. And you can't grow government and migrate power from the people to the government if the Constitution is actually enforced, or if conservatives are ever allowed to get their way. So The Club needs Party Members, and Candidates, who will ignore if not oppose the Constitution, and who will ignore if not oppose Conservative Americans.
With the aid of the Club-owned Media, the Republicrats see to it that the most Club-endorsed, least loved by the Conservative base candidates are given the easiest paths to primary contest survival. The Party itself, along with the Media, work to destroy the most conservative Constitutionalist candidates early on. The one they love all through the primary process becomes the candidate, and then, the Party does not support them strongly, gives them losing strategic advice, and media turns on them, and the Marxocrat Party destroys them.
That's what they did to McCain. That's what they did to Romney. That's what they intend to do again, in this race. It's a tried and true formula. The Republicrats set them up, and the Marxocrats knock them down, both Parties working with the aid of their media.
But, dad gum it, there's this Trump card being played. The Donald has played this game too, from both ends, buying politicians of both Parties, and he doesn't need The Club, of which he has been a member, and with whose workings he is intimately familiar. He knows them all.
I don't think they know what to do with him.
In other news, it looks like something similar might be going on in the politics being played out in the Synod on the Family. The bits and pieces coming out into the open are always requiring expert interpretation, because of, I believe, purposefully vague language.
Finding ways to "accommodate" new forms of family. ??? (I can't remember the exact tricky wording, but that's close.) But there is only one form of family. To deny that, is to deny science, to deny nature and to deny Scripture. Why should other "forms" be "accommodated"? Cohabiting "families" was mentioned. Fornicators do not form families. Those are not families. They are fornicating couples with bastard children. That's not a family.
Even admitting that I didn't hear the whole broadcast, because I was working and work takes precedence over radio, I heard enough to know that some bishops are seeking to modify the Church to accommodate culture, rather than to modify culture in the light of what the Church unflinchingly teaches. There was a brief reference to Cardinal Arinze, of whom I have read and loved and recommended, and some supposed remarks by him regarding the cultural problem of polygamy in some African nations where Christianity is being introduced.
The difference between the African polygamy problem, and the American fornication problem (and adultery problem, and homosexuality problem) is that African culture is becoming more Christian, and formerly Christian American culture is becoming more pagan.
The Church evangelizes in Africa, and converts people who are in a polygamist state. They are encouraged to come to Mass, but not partake of the Sacraments until they somehow end the polygamist status.
In America, it is the opposite. The secularist culture evangelizes Catholics, they cohabit, or they divorce and remarry, or they go homosexual, and yet the Church seems to be going in the direction of "accommodating" them by admittance to the Sacraments. The culture is not supposed to modify the Church. It's supposed to be the other way round.
But Church catechesis has been so weak and even so flagrantly false since the sixties, at least, that, to me, the breakdown in the American Catholic family is the Church (in America)'s fault. Loose teaching and liberal accommodation of sin caused it.
And now, if appears, they want to fix it good, with a wrecking ball.
What we need here is clarity. A Shawnee Chief named Cornstalk once said, paraphrasing, that truth does not take many words. I think the press spokesmen for the Synod could do well to learn that little lesson.
