When we look at the historical images and artistic renderings that put faces on the French Revolution, what we mostly see is anger and deadly resolve. It was, after all, a "popular" revolution; perhaps the last significant popular revolution in history. The people were angry. Every other revolution since then was not a popular revolution. In most of them, the people were ignorant of what was really going on until it was all over; the government had changed, there was a new regime in power and there wasn't much the people could do about it.
In the Russian "Revolution," Lenin, who never had more than about 15,000 dedicated "revolutionaries" behind him, took advantage of the distraction of World War I to wreak his havoc against the Czar, seize power, kill all the opposition leadership and thereby ensure ultimate success. The Russian people, whether fighting on the front or at home, didn't really know what was going on until it was practically over, or at least, victory was assured because all the opposition leadership was dead.
In the Chinese "Revolution," Mao took advantage of World War II to split the attention and the forces of the government, who had to fight the Communists and the Japanese simultaneously.
In the Cuban "Revolution," Castro pretended to be a Democratic hero of the people opposing organized crime families and the corrupt Batista regime; only after seizing power did he announce that his was a "Marxist-Leninist Revolution." Surprise, surprise, surprise. The mask was off, now that no one could do anything about it.
Today in America, with everyone trying to figure out the real motivations and intentions of Comrade Obama, peace be upon him, the current consensus seems to have arrived at the conclusion that he intends to permanently crush and eliminate the Republican Party, and all political opposition. Annihilate seems to be the popular term of the day. But, I submit, the destruction of the Republican Party is only a small part of his larger strategic intentions.
He intends to annihilate the American Representative Constitutional Republic, of which the Republican Party was once an important part; but no more. He intends to destroy our Constitutional Republic the same way he has already destroyed the Republican Party, which is to say, from within.
It's not hard to figure out. All you have to do is read Saul Alinsky's Reveille for Radicals and his Rules for Radicals to see what he is doing and how he is doing it. Obama is, after all, an Alinskyite. It's an open secret; it is not hidden; the only people who don't know it are the people who make up the moron vote, or the "low information voter" population, who are purposely miss-led and kept in the dark by the Obamunist Indoctrination Wing - formal education, and the Obamunist Propaganda Wing - the mainstream news media.
The American President opposes the American Constitution, and every awake, critically thinking American knows it, but that simple fact is being hidden, camouflaged and "window-dressed" for the moron vote. The Democrat Party knows it. The whole teaching profession knows it. The entire profession of journalism knows it. They are in on it. They are participating in it. Only the purposely dumbed-down and spoon-fed moron vote is still ignorant of it.
Obama doesn't give a damn about politics, except as a convenient tool of the moment. He is a Revolutionary, wearing a suit and tie, and a winning smile. Virtually every Presidential action he has ever taken has been a violation of the Constitution he falsely swore to protect in his oath of office.
So how did we get to the point where a sitting President can violate the Constitution that forms the supreme law of the land with impunity, with great regularity, and nobody even seems to get very upset about it?
Well, you see, there have been all these compromises with various points of the Constitution since Woodrow Wilson, and ... well, the process of compromise has morphed into the process of ignoring that which used to be seen as something that had to be dealt with.
Constitution? What Constitution? We don't need no stinking Constitution!
It was Wilson who turned the Senate into a popularly elected body, moving America away from being a Republic and toward becoming pure Democracy, and who established the FED, in accordance with the requirements of the Communist Manifesto. It was Hoover who began the "New Deal" programs of making citizens dependent upon government instead of themselves. But it was FDR who put all of these programs on steroids and, while smiling, won the hearts of the citizenry even as he ever increasingly enslaved them to their own government.
When FDR took the reigns from Hoover, he made the New Deal his own, and thereby deeply aggravated the depression and made it worse. He did all this while making wonderful speeches, his regular radio Fireside Chats and winning the love of the voters, even as he was destroying their economic lives and weakening their individual independence. He - a filthy rich Capitalist - demonized Capitalism in the eyes of the populace, to such a degree that they actually saw bank robbers and gangsters as heroic figures, because they robbed "Capitalism."
He demonized Wall Street. After taking control of banks, after setting up Fannie-May as a bogus, doomed-to-failure-by-design lending institution for people who could not pay back loans, he then speechified and pontificated against honest bankers. He told the voters, falsely, that he had "driven the money-changers out of the temple!" and that now, thanks to him, economic prosperity was right around the corner. And he was believed. Why not? After all, he was the President.
He was lying.
Thanks to FDR, gangsterism enjoyed a period of high popularity in America. There was quite a long period of time when criminals such as Bonnie and Clyde were actual folk-heroes, loved, protected and hidden from the police by the populace, because they robbed banks, which had been demonized in the eyes of the economically suffering public by FDR. They blamed Wall Street and Bankers, not the government, for the terrible economic state of affairs. They saw gangsters as Robin Hood type heroes; they had begun to despise Capitalism, and anything that opposed Greedy Capitalism was good.
Thus was begun the popular tendency to favor government over individualism, to see The People juxtaposed against The Profiteers, and the submersion of individual efforts in favor of the Collective Effort. It was very subtle, but it was there.
This was a shift in the morality of the people. Robbing - stealing - was seen to be more acceptable due to a new set of invented demons on the scene: Bankers, Wall Street, Big Business Robber Barons and Profiteers. It was OK to steal from the new demons.
Then there was another shift in power, from the people to the government, as another "crisis" was capitalized on. The Italian and the Irish gangsters were waring with each other in Chicago, and it came to a head with the infamous Saint Valentine's Day Massacre, in which Al Capone's gunmen machine-gunned members of the Bugs Moran gang. The press began to fan this event into an anti-mob crusade, and public opinion began to turn against the "murderous" robbers for a change.
All the outraged headlines and all the heated political speeches ultimately resulted in the first gun control laws, and automatic weapons were legally banned, in direct violation of the Second Amendment - but nobody noticed the Constitutional aspects of it. Nobody was even thinking about the Constitution. Up until that time it was perfectly legal for privates citizens to own Thompson Submachine Guns and Browning Automatic Rifles, and many did own them, and no one had any problem with that.
I remember seeing an old gun ad featuring the bold picture of a cowboy fighting off a gang of rustlers or desperados of some kind with his trusty Tommy-Gun. All that came to an end with the new anti-automatic law.
What was lost in the dust of that particular emergency fix to an exaggerated crisis was the fact that the purpose of the Second Amendment was to provide the citizenry with a means of defending itself against its own government. What the automatic weapons ban accomplished was, essentially, nothing that was publicly intended.
The public intention was to get automatic weapons out of the hands of the criminals; but the criminals, being criminals, didn't obey the new law. Al Capone's thugs didn't surrender their Tommy Guns; only the law abiding citizens did that. Surprise. But the hidden intention behind the law did indeed work; the true intention was to weaken the Constitutionally protected ability of the liberated, free citizenry to always continue to be independent of an increasingly tyrannical government.
It was one more step toward an unarmed citizenry supervised by an armed police force, which is to say, a Police State. And the people just went along with it, as though they were mesmerized or hypnotized or something.
Funny how a once vitally important principle can be negotiated and compromised completely into nothingness. No one remembers.
But than ain't all, folks; not by a long shot. If we were to go strictly by the Constitution, which is what we are supposed to do in a Constitutional Republic, the whole damned government would be a tiny fraction of what it is today. The Constitution limits government; the only things our government is Constitutionally authorized to even address are listed in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Just for openers, look at this partial list of giant bureaucracies,
- US Dept of Agriculture (USDA)
- US Dept of Commerce (DOC)
- US Dept of Education (ED)
- US Dept of Energy (DOE)
- US Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS)
- US Dept of Homeland Security (DHS)
- US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
- US Dept of Justice (DOJ)
- US Dept of Labor (DOL)
- US Dept of the Interior (DOI)
- US Dept of Transportation (DOT)
and tell me which ones are to be found in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution, and which ones are to be found among the pillars of the Communist Manifesto. But, like I said, that's just for openers. Woodrow Wilson, bless his heart, was also able to establish the income tax in America, which, all by itself, eventually grew federal government power over the people by many, many orders of magnitude. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has grown into a behemoth that intrudes on freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of association, and on, and on, and on.
The now 70,000+ page tax code includes behavior-modifying (i.e., extortion) tax breaks, exemptions, penalties and payoffs, relating to everything from local highway funds, to state education funds, to you name it. Teach a certain way, get your local school funds; preach a certain way, keep your tax exemption; enforce certain emission and gas economy restrictions, get your local highway funds; etc., etc., etc. We now have a sitting and supposedly representative government determined to legislate or regulate the weather, ostensibly for our own good, or for the good of the planet or something. And the biggest single regulating authority today on the planet earth is the IRS. The scope is unlimited.
Does anyone in Washington even begin to see the need to get rid of this monstrosity entirely and replace it with the Fair Tax, and the need to Fast Track the Fair Tax? No. Not in Washington. Only out here in the Boondocks are any people waking up to the increasing threats to individual liberty coming from our own supposedly representative government. Obviously, the Constitution was not, and is not being observed.
All of this has got to be undone if America is to survive.
Anyone with eyes can see that our Constitution has already been negotiated and compromised into non-existence. That's why, every rare once in awhile, someone points out a Constitutional violation by the Democrats, and they get an argument about it. One out of a hundred violations is even recognized, and even then, its a matter for further negotiation and compromise. We have lost our Constitutional way.
The only smiles we see these days seem to be on the faces of the members of the Marxist Party. (I mean Democrat.) Even the moron voters are increasingly unhappy, now that some of the "change we can believe in" is beginning to take effect. But, as the pictures above show, absolute dictators can almost always smile.
What the moron voters, along with Marxism's Useful Idiots don't know, is that the promises are false; there ain't no Utopia; there will be no "redistribution." There will only be increasing poverty and hardship, and an increasing migration of power from the people to the government, until we wind up with a pure dictatorship. All of them - Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, Hitler, Castro, Hugo - all of them, without exception, were really working to the benefit of Self. Each one was or is a pure Selfist. All power to the self. The real goal is what it was from the beginning: pure one man dictatorship. Everything else is facade. Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Whateverism, is just a tool, with which to recruit and use Useful Idiots through whom to attain absolute dictatorial power.
No wonder they smile; everyone around them is so incredibly stupid.
I submit that, at some point in his life, Joseph Stalin petted a puppy dog. Adolph Hitler smiled at a little child. Mao Tse Tung was probably loved by his mother. And we know that our dear leader, Comrade Barack Hussein Obama, peace be upon him, is a really nice guy, a decent fellow and a loving father. His own political opponent for the Presidency told us that. And, you know what else?
Lucifer was the most beautiful of all of the angels.

Hi Vic,
Thank you for doing God's work, as difficult as it can be at times. I was wondering if you might be able to help me locate an article somewhere in your site that mentions Obama's earlier years when he was a community organizer who started attending a Christian church in Chicago for political reasons. I recall the article quoting and a paragraph by an author (in a book?) about Obama following Alinsky's tactics. Hillary Clinton was also discussed in the article as using Alinsky's tactics.

I'm guessing the page you're looking for is American Political Ideologies, because it talks about Comrade Obama and his work as an Alinsky revolutionary organizer. John Poe is quoted there; he is a journalist and an author. One of his books is:
The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party.
Farther down in the Ideologies page, among the comments is one asking pretty much the same question, and there is a little more information there, along with some old pics of Hilly and Billy in their happier radical college years.
