Treason against Nation is bad, but Ultimate Treason is against Faith and Morals.

Don't just look at Washington as the source of all of our problems; look first at what's being taught from the Pulpit.

These troubled days, everywhere I look I see underhanded betrayal favoring human depravity.  The election of President Elect Trump may be a bright spot for political and economic America, but America is not going to return to former greatness unless and until her population predominantly returns to their former Christian goodness. 

That former goodness was born of the American Christian Pulpit. 

How many "Christians" today even attend services on Sunday, as compared to way-back-when, when America was a truly great nation? 

And of those who do attend regularly, what do they hear from the Pulpit?  What do they read in their Church Bulletins?  What are they asked to give to?  Who are they asked to accept and embrace? 

What sin has been "normalized" and no longer held to be sinful? 

Back in September of 2013 Raymond Cardinal Burke addressed a major component of the ultimate treason against faith and morals in an interview, which can be seen in completeness at 2013 Interview on the Cardinal Burke website. 

Q. Things seem to be declining at an accelerating rate in our country. For example, it is shocking how quickly things happened in Minnesota. A year ago it seemed almost certain that a November ballot referendum would constitutionally define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Despite a heroic effort by Archbishop John Nienstedt and many other Church leaders, it failed. Just four months later a law was enacted making Minnesota the 12th state to legalize so- called same-sex marriage. How did we get to this point? Aside from prayer and fasting, what can the faithful do?

A. First of all, I would underline the need for much prayer and fasting. The alarming rapidity of the realization of the homosexual agenda ought to awaken all of us and frighten us with regard to the future of our nation. This is a work of deceit, a lie about the most fundamental aspect of our human nature, our human sexuality, which after life itself defines us. There is only one place these types of lies come from, namely Satan. It is a diabolical situation which is aimed at destroying individuals, families, and eventually our nation.

How did we get to this point? The fact that these kinds of “arrangements” are made legal is a manifestation of a culture of death, of an anti-life and anti-family culture which has existed in our nation now for some time. We as Catholics have not properly combated it because we have not been taught our Catholic Faith, especially in the depth needed to address these grave evils of our time. This is a failure of catechesis both of children and young people that has been going on for fifty years. It is being addressed, but it needs much more radical attention. I can say this because I was the bishop of two different dioceses.

After fifty years of this, we have many adult voters who support politicians with immoral positions because they do not know their Catholic Faith and its teaching with regard to same-sex attraction and the inherent disorder of sexual relations between two persons of the same sex. Therefore, they are not able to defend the Catholic Faith in this matter.

What has also contributed greatly to the situation is an exaltation of the virtue of tolerance which is falsely seen as the virtue which governs all other virtues. In other words, we should tolerate other people in their immoral actions to the extent that we seem also to accept the moral wrong. Tolerance is a virtue, but it is certainly not the principal virtue; the principal virtue is charity. Charity means speaking the truth, especially the truth about human life and human sexuality. While we love the individual, we desire only the best for one who suffers from an inclination to engage in sexual relations with a person of the same sex. We must abhor the actions themselves because they are contrary to nature itself as God has created us.

The virtue of charity leads us to be kind and understanding to the individual, but also to be firm and steadfast in opposing the evil itself. This confusion is widespread. I have encountered it many times myself as a priest and bishop. It is something we simply need to address. There is far too much silence — people do not want to talk about it because the topic is not “politically correct.” But we cannot be silent any longer or we will find ourselves in a situation that will be very difficult to reverse.

I use this quote first as an example of correct teaching versus the general social acceptance of the intolerable.  It always bears repeating: Satan knows that if he can get a man to accept sodomy as "good", he can then get that man to accept anything at all as "good". 

Today, in 2016 America, homosexuality is seen as normal, i.e., "good". 

That appears to be the predominant view.  Are we still good? 

Just look around the internet for opposition to nature and to decency and to goodness, coming from the most trusted, and thus the most unexpected "authorities". 

A Religious Left Exposed article exposes how Catholic Relief Services, a supposedly Catholic charity supported by the USCCB, is pushing Population Control measures in direct violation of Church teaching. 

A Les Femmes - The Truth article exposes how a Spanish Archbishop knowingly ordained to the Priesthood an active male homosexual "couple". 

And another article from that site predicts more pederasty and sex abuse from Catholic clerics, because of a finding that "At any one time, no more than 50% of priests are practicing celibacy." 

Excuse me?  Can this be true?  Can the situation be that bad? 

A Restoring DC Catholicism article reveals that Priestly Formation training now includes Climate Change and Global Warming nonsense, which is not based on science, but on Scientism, which itself is just another form of betrayal of truth. 

We have seen in this site how the CCHD, the biggest "Catholic" charity in America and perhaps the world, originated as an Alinsky organization, aimed, as are all Alinksy organizations, at contributing to eventual Marxist Revolution.  Despite this fact, CCHD is still strongly supported by the USCCB, which itself may be argued to have originated, for the most part, with Saul Alinsky orchestrated organization.  And Saul Alinsky was no Catholic; quite the opposite.

Now we can point our fingers at all of our various Protestant brothers, and we can tut-tut at how some of them ordain women, and ordain homosexuals, and support contraception, abortion, divorce and remarriage, homosexual marriage, assisted suicide, cloning, and on, and on.  But look around, at what's going on within our own supposedly One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. 

I don't know about you, but the conclusion I draw from all of this is: 

Today, the Catholic Church, the Church of our fathers, the Church which Christ Himself founded, does not speak with one voice. 

All those Protestant Denominations, and even all those non-denominational Denominations, are descended from descendents of, essentially, us; the one original Church.  Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, etc., all broke ranks with the original Catholic Church, and all those other Denominations are descended from them. 

If anyone within all of Christianity is supposed to be absolutely reliable for the original unvarnished revealed Truth of Christianity, it is us. 

Without that essential Truth and someone in authority to properly pass it on without taint or error, mankind is lost.  Not just America. 

"The most obvious answer, then, to the question, why we yield to the authority of the Church in the questions and developments of faith, is, that some authority there must be if there is a revelation given, and other authority there is none but she. A revelation is not given, if there be no authority to decide what it is that is given. In the words of St. Peter to her Divine Master and Lord, “To whom shall we go?” Nor must it be forgotten in confirmation, that Scripture expressly calls the Church “the pillar and ground of the Truth,” and promises her as by covenant that “the Spirit of the Lord that is upon her, and His words which He has put in her mouth shall not depart out of her mouth, nor out of the mouth of her seed, nor out of the mouth of her seed’s seed, from henceforth and for ever. ” (Emphasis added.)(An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine; John Henry Cardinal Newman; Notre Dame Press; 1989 (original 1878); pages 88 and 89)

Yet, as I said, the Church today does not speak with one voice. 

Look around; you don't have to look too far to prove that fact. 

The Dubia still stand unanswered.  I'm not smart enough to know about Papal Deposability.  But I'm smart enough to know that we need to pray for the authors of the Dubia and for some form of a return to simple common sense, first and foremost at the top of the Catholic Church, or the whole world is in deep trouble.
