During the course of the 20th century socialist and communist regimes brutally murdered somewhere between 100,000,000-200,000,000 men, women, and children in their insane attempts at building the ideal society.
The ideal city of man was to be free from evil, especially the evils 'caused' by the Christian God, the fall into sin, monogamous marriage, the two created sexes, moral restraints, property ownership, and all conditions that make for envy:
"When I say that Marxism is based on envy, I mean that the glorious revolution of the proletariat...was really a promise to put a final end to all the conditions that make for envy." (Joseph Epstein, author and former editor of The American Scholar, from Truths about Socialism, Coral Ridge Ministries, p. 66)
Atheist or new pagan humanism, naturalism, anti-creation de-humanizing evolutionary thinking, ideology, and scientism--the spawn of positivism--were common to both regimes the same as they are with contemporary Progressivism, Leftism, Transhumanism, and Global Technocracy. Thus in the Soviet Union, the God-and-human hating Vladimir Lenin exulted that,
"Darwin put an end to the belief that the animal and vegetable species bear no relation to one another (and) that they were created by God, and hence immutable." (Fatal Fruit, Tom DeRosa, p. 9)
In other words, as evolution supposedly proves that man has no inner being (soul/spirit) created by God in His spiritual image but is rather a conscious product of evolution, then he is less than nothing, therefore can be enslaved or killed as desire dictates.
Lenin exercised godlike power over life and death. He saw himself as, "the master of the knowledge of the evolution of social species." It was Lenin who "decided who should disappear by virtue of having been condemned to the dustbin of history." From the moment Lenin made the "scientific" decision that the bourgeoisie represented a stage of humanity that evolution had surpassed, "its liquidation as a class and the liquidation of the individuals who actually or supposedly belonged to it could be justified." (The Black Book of Communism, p. 752)
In Nazi Germany evolutionary scientism resulted in human breeding programs, gas chambers, ovens, and the liquidation of millions of ‘useless eaters’ and other undesirables.
If in man’s diabolically proud, selfish, greedy, hate-filled, envy bitten heart he knows he is superior to other people and more deserving than they then why not conceptually reduce them to pond scum, weeds, or sub humans as German Socialists and Marxist Communists did or to sub human hominids, bigots, and racists as Western ‘elites’ do:
"Subhumanism is a weird hybrid philosophy that underlies the politics and lifestyles of the Western elite—and increasingly, of the common man, who soaks it in through the media.
Subhumanism uses quasi-scientific assertions about evolution, biology, and human behavior to reduce people to brainy apes, whose behavior is not so much free as goaded by instincts or determined by electrochemical sparks in our neurons." (The Five Core Principles, Christopher White, tothesource, February 3, 2015)
Alain Brossat draws the following conclusions about the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, and the ties that bind them:
"The 'liquidation' of the Muscovite executioners, a close relative of the 'treatment' carried out by Nazi assassins, is a linguistic microcosm of an irreparable mental and cultural catastrophe that was in full view on the Soviet Stage. The value of human life collapsed, and thinking in categories replaced ethical thought…In the discourse and practice of the Nazi exterminators, the animalization of Other…was closely linked to the ideology of race. It was conceived in the implacably hierarchical racial terms of "subhumans" and "supermen"…but in Moscow in 1937, what mattered…was the total animalization of the Other, so that a policy under which absolutely anything was possible could come into practice." (Black Book of Communism, p. 751)
As with the German philosopher Nietzsche, a lapsed Christian who declared the death of the Christian God, Marxist Communists, Nazi Socialists, and Western ‘elites’ had stopped looking to heaven for their hopes and rewards. Declaring themselves ‘morally pure supermen’ they sought power here below and in pursuit of their utopian fantasies became the essence and face of evil.
No One Escapes Evil/Suffering.
Whether it is environmental evil deriving from hurricanes, floods, fires, tsunamis or earthquakes; physical suffering resulting from loss of limbs, cancer, or some other debilitating condition; or moral evil (sin), no one escapes suffering. Thus today, with the Christian God dead in the hearts of a majority of modern Westerners and Americans and with little or no restraints upon the dark side of mankind, not since the 20th century has 'suffering' issuing in evil thoughts, hatred, vicious words, and rage-fueled actions been as apparent as in our largely de-humanized and morally relative century where ‘self,’ evolution, and scientism are worshipped rather than our Father in heaven. Hence the condemnation expressed by the ancient Greek nature philosopher Epicurus is repeated today by millions of narcissistic, science and evolution worshipping Westerners and Americans today:
“Omnipotence could, Benevolence would have prevented evil.”
From the moment Adam and Eve were ushered out of paradise, men began complaining:
"Why must we die? Why must there be decay? Why must we work? Why does he have (fill in the blanks) but I do not? That's unfair! Why can't we say, do and have whatever we desire? If it feels good then why shouldn't we do it? If my body is my own why must it accommodate another life growing within it? Why must there be authority, rules, norms, absolutes, and consequences? Why does it have to be this way? Why can't it be the way we want it to be?"
And finally: Who or what is the cause of our suffering?
From Nimrod to Karl Marx and contemporary "God is dead" Progressive Leftists and other apostates, the answer is the transcendent Authority and Creation of the Holy Triune God:
"Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God." He "changed the government into tyranny" in order to turn them away from God and make them dependent upon his own power. He also would be revenged upon God "if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach!" And he would "avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers." (Jewish historian Josephus cited in" Who was Nimrod?" Dr. David Livingston)
In every age, the natural mind unaided by Divine Revelation has tried in vain to solve the problem of evil:
"And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, All these evils come from within, and these are what defile a man.” Mark 7: 20-23
Divine Revelation tells us that pride, the willful rejection of the Holy God and creative norms and hierarchies, and an attempt by the proud and envious to annihilate Him if possible, is the origin of evil:
"Evil behavior includes sin committed against other people (murder, theft, adultery) and evil committed against God (unbelief, idolatry, blasphemy). From the disobedience in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:9) to the wickedness of Babylon the Great (Revelation 18:2), the Bible speaks of the fact of evil, and man is held responsible for the evil he commits: “The one who sins is the one who will die” (Ezekiel 18:20). Essentially, evil is a lack of goodness. Moral evil is not a physical thing; it is a lack or privation of a good thing.” (What is the Definition of Evil? gotquestions.org)
Sin began with Lucifer, then spread to Adam and Eve through abuse of will resulting in the loss of the supernatural gift of grace (spiritual death).
Our Heavenly Father did not make Adam perfect because He knew the great obstacle to perfection: abuse of will in the choice of good and evil. Perfection must wait until men have passed the danger of abusing His gifts of intellect and will, thereby falling as the sinful angels had done before them.
Adam was made good rather than perfect, and before he fell there was perfect harmony between his three natures (spirit, soul, body), hence he knew nothing of the polluted, degraded conscience, inflexible will turned to evil, and disordered intellect and emotions that have been the daily experience of fallen men since the disobedience of Adam and Eve.
The supernatural gift of grace was something men were meant to have and would have allowed them to live in perfect control of their emotions without suffering the loss of their reason.
But since the fall, Adam’s descendants are conceived and born, not in a state of grace as men were originally meant to be, but in a state of sin, a defective state of being deprived of supernatural grace (spiritual death) wherein the soul has predominated in its power over the body. (Heb. 4:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
In eternity (Paradise restored), the supernatural gift of grace will be restored (perfect regeneration of spirit) and perfect harmony will ensue. With regenerated spirit once again elevated to the throne we shall become conscious of glorious powers that we can now neither apprehend nor imagine. In place of the soul (heart) with its disordered passions and fallible, deceptive, inconsistent, illogical reasoning, our Lord's redeemed children shall be gifted with a perfect heart, glorious powers, perfect peace and unerring perception of the Truth and Righteousness which is the prerogative of fully regenerated, untainted souls.
In the meantime--and even in the case of those who have been born again, meaning their spirits are being regenerated--the intellectual faculty is still so incompetent that though such people possess Truth in Divine Revelation they are only able, as Paul tells us, to know and understand it only in part for the present.
But with Jehovah God dead in the hearts of millions of God-haters, fools, and hopeless, despairing people in a century dominated by the religion of Humanism, Naturalism, Relativism, Evolution and Scientism, escape is the response to suffering.
For example, the Buddha concluded that suffering is caused by thirst for immortality therefore evil is inherent in the very fact of existence. Thus by our desire to continue our personal existence we remain enmeshed in the suffering involved by our conscious awareness of and desire for life. To escape suffering we must deny ‘self’ (soul) if we are to live devoid of all desire to exist or we shall pay for it by reincarnation in another body in which we will relive our suffering. Only by rejecting our desire for existence can we attain to Nirvana, absorption into the Divine One Substance or Void.
As the key to Buddha’s system is denial of ‘self’ it became necessary to take God away, for if there is no God it logically follows there is no source for ‘self’--soul. If man is not God’s spiritual image-bearer then he is less than nothing, a conclusion Buddha reached long before Jesus Christ walked this earth:
“Six centuries before Jesus Christ, the Buddha already knew that if God does not exist, then the human self cannot exist either (so) he deconstructed the Hindu idea of the soul (in order that your) sense of self is an illusion. Reality is nonself…You don’t exist.” Liberation from suffering, the Buddha taught, “is realizing the unreality of your existence.” (The Book that Made Your World: How the Bible Created the Soul of Western Civilization, Vishal Mangalwadi, P. 6)
Nature sages such as Epicurus and his Western and American contemporaries (evolutionary materialists) seek the same end but start from the opposite extreme. For them, desire of immortality and its’ corollary, fear of death, is anesthetized through self-indulgence: immersion in drugs, alcohol, sex, parties, plastic surgery, entertainment, technology, body-building, accumulation of things and status, and other temporal pleasures. Self-indulgence is the supreme good. If it feels good, then do it for tomorrow we die.
With Nietzsche we see another form of escape: defiance, revolt, and negation (scoffing, mocking, harsh criticism, doubting) of God the Father, His Revealed Word, miracles, higher truths, ethics, virtues, and faithful orthodox Christians.
Nietzsche declared the Christian God dead and Christianity a slave morality that cultivates cringing virtues such as self-sacrifice, self-restraint, charity, humility and compassion. To counter this great ‘evil’ men must cultivate an amoral ‘master morality,’ and produce a ‘race of supermen,’ monstrous psychopaths such as Lenin, Stalin, and Mao who would send the despised and weak to the wall. Autonomous men must crush whatever and whoever causes them to suffer without the least concern for other people. Men will crush the despised with defiance, scoffing, mocking, doubting, terror, brute force and murder.
This was the philosophy of Berlin and Moscow. Both regimes regarded other nations and millions of people as worthy only to be sterilized, lobotomized, tormented, used for human experimentation, worked to death as slaves or liquidated.
Together Berlin and Moscow murdered in excess of 100,000,000 men, women, and children.
The attitude in common with all of these natural or new pagan systems is that suffering, not sin, is the supreme evil, thus the only means of dealing with suffering is escape of any kind and complete as possible---even to crushing and murdering other people. In this view, peace is the absence of suffering.
This is why the very popular peace symbol seen everywhere today on everything from children's clothing, to T-shirts, jewelry, and purses is a symbol of doublethink that really means hatred, war, and death--not peace. The symbol used by the so-called peace movement is the Teutonic rune of death. Also called the Neronic Cross and Toten Rune, Nazis used it to replace the Christian cross on Waffen-SS graves.<p>
In "Occult ABC" Dr. Kurt Koch (1913-1987), a noted German theologian who pastored, counseled and delivered more than 20,000 people suffering from occult (demonic) bondage, writes that at the time of the first-century persecution of Christians, the ‘peace symbol,’ an inverted cross with its arms broken, was called the Neronic cross. It was on such a cross that the apostle Peter was crucified upside-down. Koch comments:
"The symbol of peace thus signifies an inverted cross and is a symbol of hatred against Christians." (Occult ABC, p. 242)
Yet because the fallen human condition is responsible for evil, the natural man never finds peace though he looks for it everywhere and sports the peace symbol.
If Suffering, Not Sin, Is The Supreme Evil ...
If sin is a myth the same as the Genesis account ex nihilo and individual suffering, due perhaps to covetousness and envy, are not supreme evils, then why should the man who envies Christ Jesus not conceptually murder Him and seize His powers for his own agenda as Marx and other envy-bitten God-killers did? And why should diabolically proud, envy-bitten, self-centered people have to suffer by not having what they covet or conversely not destroy whatever or whoever makes for suffering? This is why Modern Liberals,
“.... will invariably (and) inevitably side with evil over good, wrong over right and the behaviors that lead to failure over those that lead to success. When I say the Modern Liberal is morally and intellectually retarded at the level of the five-year old child, it is not hyperbole: its diagnosis.” (Evan Sayet, The Kindergarten of Evil, evansayet.com; emphasis added)
Siding with evil is ‘good’ to the wicked man because it is both a great leveler and a form of payback:
" It's clear that Barack Obama and Eric Holder have chosen to nurse their grievances and look for opportunities for "payback." "Both have repeatedly jumped into local law enforcement issues, far from Washington, and turned them into racial issues, long before the facts came out. These two men -- neither of whom grew up in a ghetto -- have been quick to play the role of defenders of the ghetto, even when that meant defending the kinds of hoodlums who can make life a living hell for decent people in black ghettos." (Obama vs. America, Thomas Sowell, onenewsnow.com, Feb. 3, 2015)
Dorothy Sayers, who translated Dante's Inferno where pride, covetousness and envy were punished in the lowest part of Hell called envy 'the great leveler.' At its worst,
"...it is a destroyer – rather than have anyone happier than itself, it will see us all miserable together." (ibid, p. 66)
In this way of reasoning, why should abortionists, pornographers, pedophiles, transgenders, and Western ‘elites’ have to suffer restraints placed on them by God the Father, immutable truth, created norms, the Ten Commandments, Constitution, pro-lifers and other orthodox Christians? Or why should pedophiles and pederasts suffer from unsatisfied appetites as the result of the protective stance of parents? Why should envy-bitten homosexuals and lesbians not be priests or priestesses and have marriage if it will alleviate suffering? And if death will be knocking on your door very quickly unless you receive an organ transplant, then why not send some child to the wall in order that you can have its organs?
Wesley J. Smith reports on this particular evil:
“The first case of a child being trafficked to Britain in order to have their organs harvested has been uncovered. The unnamed girl was brought to the UK from Somalia with the intention of removing her organs and selling them to those desperate for a transplant. Child protection charities warned that the case was unlikely to be an isolated incident as traffickers were likely to have smuggled a group of children into the country.” (Officials Discover Child Trafficked from Somalia to UK to Harvest Her Organs, Smith, Life News, Oct. 20, 2013)
Wesley asks recipients if their own death is really worse than having a child killed or maimed that they might live? To escape their suffering some will clearly say yes. Since their own suffering is supreme the child should be sacrificed on their behalf.
But if that isn’t evil, asked Wesley, what is?
“We know that we are of God and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” 1 John 5:19
The answer depends on whether you are a faithful, orthodox Christian or Jew whose will is in submission to our Heavenly Father or an autonomous natural man from the void whose will is in submission to ‘self’ and the evil one.
