We are not the world's Police! How many times have we all heard that? And, on hearing it, how many times have any of us applied a little critical thinking and real-world practicality to it? And how many times do we just nod our heads and not think about it at all?
After hearing a lie a ten thousand times, it becomes, for the inattentive, a truth.
If your local Sheriff department or city police department shut down, all the officers took off their uniforms and went home, you should be able to predict what happens next. The criminal element would come out in the open. The same thing plays out on the world stage, in international geopolitics. If there is no one to stop them, and no threat to their activities, the pirates, the lawless, the barbarians, and the ruthless conquerors and their military forces, all come right out in the open and begin to ply their trade. That's the way it is.
At the root of all politics and governance is applied military force.
Whether that military force is applied by a just and moral and benign political entity, or by an unjust, evil and cruel one, is at the true root of all politics and all political ideology. No matter how well it is covered up, no matter how gentlemanly, well mannered and diplomatic any political contests may be handled, brute force remains at the root of it all, just waiting to be unleashed. That's the way is has been from the beginning, that's the way it is today, that's the way it will be until the end of time. Anyone who tells you otherwise is propagating a lie, knowingly or otherwise.
Rome set the pattern, better than the Greeks before them, when they established the Pax Romana, becoming the world's police. They built roads everywhere, and stationed legions along the roads, encouraging safe traffic and commerce. They patrolled the seaways and ports, dissuading pirates and highwaymen all over the Roman world. Any would-be conquering military forces thought twice, because of the threat of Roman military force.
Islam arose as a force diametrically opposed to all of that. The Koran calls for the destruction and poisoning of any land of the infidel which was not to be occupied by Islamic forces. The Seljuk Turks were the first Moslems to actually do it, or perhaps the first to apply the Islamic doctrine to the extreme. Where the Romans dug wells, built roads and bridges, set up outposts and kept travelers safe, the Turks did precisely the opposite, wherever they went.
They killed or enslaved the whole populace, killed all livestock not taken, burned or tore down every building and laid waste to the land, poisoning wells, tearing down bridges, burning crops and salting the earth, turning good land into desert. Wherever they had been, travel was difficult and dangerous for many years. Travelers and caravans who dared cross such lands had to move fast and carry their own water, lest they die of thirst on the journey. Commerce withered where before it had prospered.
Whatever cruelties attributed to Roman rule, and there were many, at least, they encouraged peace, safety and free trade on a broad scale. And so it was later, under the British Empire. Whatever evils they may have been guilty of, the British, too, perhaps even more than the earlier Romans, put down piracy and barbarity, and became the world's police. Many sought to unseat Britain's primacy on land and sea, and all were eventually crushed. Barbarians, pirates and rulers feared England, and avoided hostilities. The very existence of the British Navy dissuaded the advance of evil. That's what the existence of a strong police force does.
The reason for the term "law enforcement" is that there is always present a criminal element that responds only to force, and in the lack of such force, will not abide by the law. Very simple; nothing to it. As it is in your local neighborhood, so it is in global politics.
Like it or not, oppose it or not, America has been the world's police force since World War II, competing with the vastly outnumbering police forces of the Soviet Union and China. Since the economic collapse of the Soviet Union, America has stood alone as the force to be reckoned with by any would-be conquerors of peaceful sovereign nations.
Until Comrade Obama, peace be upon him. But no more.
He has undercut every American ally, withdrawn protective forces and missiles, and virtually eliminated any threat of American retaliation against military aggression, and that naked aggression is beginning again. He has toppled or attempted to topple every non-Jihadist Islamic ruler in favor of the rise of Islamic Jihad, and that Islamic Jihad is growing again.
Eastern European nations, who have seen this before, know full well what to expect next. From the Balkans to the Baltics, they all now know that they are on their own against the advance of the Russian bear. All around the Middle East, the Levant and North Africa, every nation is under threat of the growing Islamic Ummah, or Caliphate. Western European nations, and Western Hemisphere nations, face ever increasing Jihadist terrorism springing from within all the infiltrated and growing Islamic enclaves festering within their own sovereign borders.
That's what comes from celebrating diversity over immigrant assimilation.
And that's what comes from believing the lie that evil does not exist.
Only one of the Three Big Ideas in the geopolitical arena will eventually become the predominant force in the world, and that predominance will not come about by peaceful means. Not now. The dogs of war are off the leash.
Only one of the Three Big Ideas has never changed, and that is Islam.
The current form of Marxism predominating both in Russia and in China is a forced combination of Marxism and Capitalism, which used to travel under titles like Fascism and National Socialism. All pretenses of having achieved the utopian worker's paradise aside, Communism has proved impractical, impossible and unworkable, even under force. So, "controlled" Capitalism under typical Marxist dictatorship is now the rule of the day in the largest quasi-successful Marxist ruled lands.
The current form of completely unconstitutional American government can only be described as Crony Capitalism rapidly approaching the level of Fascism or National Socialism. America is now less a nation of laws than a nation being "administered" by ministers and bureaucrats from within a multitude of unconstitutional federal agencies, like the EPA, all reporting directly to the Dictator. I mean President. Congress does nothing, other than bluster and posture and pose for the cameras. Congress may as well not even exist. The President rules, unrestrained.
So, who is going to stop Putin from taking whatever sovereign territory he decides to take? No one.
Who is going to stop the growing Islamic conquest of territories around the world that it decides to conquer? No one.
Does anyone out there think that the world might be safer if old time Constitutional America were still in existence and still behaving like the World Police?
Comrade Obama, peace be upon him, has been so glaringly obvious in his hostility to America, to Western Civilization, to Christianity, to Jews, to white people, to rule of law, to Capitalism, and even to everything and everyone other than himself, that I frankly cannot understand how everyone doesn't see and recognize him for what and who he is.
May God help the world.
