A No Party America?

Imagining a No Party nation, with political Parties outlawed.

When Political Parties in a Constitutional Nation oppose outright and/or insufficiently defend the Nation's Constitution, it may be time to outlaw Parties and consider a No Party Constitutional Nation.

The whole concept of Constitutional America revolves round citizen liberty, i.e., the idea of a citizenry comprised of individual independent operators.  A citizenry energized and motivated by self-interest, guided by the high morality of Western Civilization, quite willingly directing the living of their lives by the tenets of various Judeo-Christian religions.  Whatever theological points these religions or denominations may disagree upon, they all share the same common overriding religion-based morality. 

The original and enduring underlying purpose of the Constitution is to protect the independent citizenry from their own government.  The only thing standing between the citizen and the government is the Constitution.  Put another way, the only thing protecting the citizen from the government is the Constitution.  When the Constitution goes, citizen liberty goes with it.  You may then be told to shut up and get on the cattle car. 

Today, there is no American political Party showing any interest at all in upholding the Constitution, and thereby, upholding the independence of the free citizenry.  Individual politicians here and there, yes; political Parties, no.  We the people need to stand back a minute and look at this.  The Tea Party movement is just that: a grass-roots movement, not an organized Party.  It was born of that segment of the citizenry conscious enough of what was going on to see the danger to America, and take action. 

For the last hundred years, America's political Parties have run amok.  We have all seen various charts and graphics attempting to show what the Democrats and the Republicans supposedly stand for, so you can find your way to which Party to support or join. 

I have yet to see one that shows just how Marxist either Party has become.  Note that Marxism, in all variant forms, is diametrically opposed to the American Constitutional ideal.  Nor does either major Party recognize Islam, in and of itself, to present any particular threat to America, her citizens, the American Constitutional ideal, or even to American national existence itself. 

Constitutional Rights of American Citizens

• To not be deprived of Equality, Life, Liberty or Property without conviction of criminal offense under due process of just law.  
  
• To move freely.

• To assemble peaceably.

• To keep and bear weapons of war.

• To assemble in an independent well-disciplined militia.

• To communicate with the world.

• To express or publish one's opinions or those of others.

• To practice one's religion.

• To be secure in one's person, house, papers, vehicles and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures.

• To enjoy privacy in all matters in which the rights of others are not violated.

• To acquire, have and use the means necessary to exercise the above natural rights and pursue happiness, specifically including:

• To enter into contracts, and thereby acquire contractual rights, to secure the means to exercise the above natural rights.
• To enjoy equally the rights, privileges and protections of personhood as established by law.
• To petition an official for redress of grievances and get action thereon in accordance with law, subject to the resources available thereto.
• To petition a legislator and get consideration thereof, subject to resources available thereto.
• To petition a court for redress of grievances and get a decision thereon, subject to resources available thereto.
• Not to have one's natural rights individually disabled except through due process of law, which includes:

• To enjoy equally the rights and privileges of citizenship as established by law.
• To vote in elections that are conducted fairly and honestly, by secret ballot.
• To exercise general police powers to defend the community and enforce the laws, subject to legal orders of higher-ranking officials.
• To receive militia training.

Anyone anywhere else in the world who reads these legal American citizen rights will recognize at once their importance to the citizenry.  But we have forgotten them, or we have been mesmerized into discounting them. 

Generation after generation after generation of American voting citizens have been ever increasingly indoctrinated by Marxist formal education, propagandized by Marxist news media, distracted by Marxist entertainment and pop-culture and lied to by Marxist political office holders and candidates for political office.  Now countless generations have been taught a false and evil history of their own country, to the point that the ideas of Marxism are actually favored over the original American ideal. 

The Democrat Party is now Marxist to the bone.  The American mainstream news media is similarly Marxist to the bone.  The American educational establishment is Marxist to the bone.  And yet, everything in Marxism - everything - is absolutely contradictory to the citizen rights listed above, encoded into our Constitution with such thought and care and good intent. 

Every variant of Marxism, be it Communism, Socialism, Fascism, National Socialism, modern Liberalism, Progressive-ism, Alinskyism, Cloward-Piven-ism, Anarchism, Keynesianism, Statism, demand-side-ism and bureaucratism, all, migrate power from the people to the government, grow the government and restrict citizen liberty. 

The one thing all variants of Marxism espouse, from the most violently revolutionary to the most progressive variants, is the notion of Redistribution of private property, and the notion of "collective" or "community" property rather than private property. 

This is absolutely at odds with the human right to private property established by:

1. The law of God (Thou shalt not steal; Thou shalt not covet.)
2. The national foundational right, and natural right of personhood, to the private citizen's pursuit of happiness. 
   
3. The Constitutional right to private property. 
   

Thus, just on that one point alone, there is no way that any variant whatsoever of Marxism can coexist with Judeo-Christian religions, with the American Declaration of Independence or with the American Constitution. 

And yet, we have all these Marxist professors, and Journalists, and entertainers, and even office holders.  Marxism is a commonplace thing nowadays.  It is not recognized as an enemy ideology at all.  It is just another political opinion, completely welcome at the American dinner table. 

Marxism is not even recognized as the deadly enemy to America that it is. 

Every American President, Vice President, Senator, Representative, Supreme Court Justice, Cabinet-level officer, and every American military service man, of any branch of service, upon entry into office, swears in a solemn oath of office, to uphold, defend and protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.  I submit that the truest measure of a man is the value of his word.  If a man gives his word, that should be final.  When it is formalized and public, as in marriage vows, and as in court proceedings, and as in oaths of office, that is about as serious as it gets.  Word given in such circumstances should never be broken.  If he didn't mean it, he should not have said it. 

I submit that every Democrat office holder is a liar.   Probably the overwhelming majority of Republican office holders are also liars.   They either lied when they made their oaths of office, or the lied later, by violating the oath.   Their word is worthless.   They are nothing but a bunch of MEJTML¹⁴ s, play-acting at loving America and schmoozing the voting public.   What they are really after is the eventual collectivization of America, acting in direct opposition to the Constitution.   And they know it.   They knew it from the beginning; for them, the ends justify the means.

Political Parties today exist, first, to grow themselves, and then to (theoretically) promote and champion particular political positions.  But they have become political power entities unto themselves, largely divorced from any Constitution or any set of guiding principles.  Their overriding purpose for being is now to win political contests, any way they can, for, again, the Marxist dictum the ends justify the means applies.  For the major political Parties, all is fair in politics. 

Today's Democrat and Republican Parties, as recognized today, grew out of the moral and political debate over slavery.  The day the first Dutch slave ship arrived in the Colonies, the first attempt at abolition of slavery was attempted, only to be overturned by the British Crown.  That was the beginning of the moral and political argument over slavery that would culminate in the Civil War.  It was in the lead-up to that war and in the war itself that the two American arguments - for abolition and for slavery - coalesced into the two great political Parties of America. 

With the metamorphosis of our political Parties into independent political power entities unto themselves came the rise of the highly-paid, indispensable professional Political Consultant class, as typified today by Karl Rove.  They have made themselves into political power brokers, by becoming the master strategists of the political campaign.  They raise huge amounts of campaign money from "contributors" to spend very strategically on political ads, and from which they extract a percentage as their own fees for services.  They make millions, win lose or draw.  They still get their millions in fees, even when a campaign of theirs loses the political contest. 

Professional Party political consultants are all about keeping track of changing demographics, voting statistics, polling statistics, etc., down to the district and precinct levels.  They test and use focus-grouped words and phrases, poll-tested political positions and psychological trickery to make candidates and issues shine in the eyes of the public, or to destroy them in the eyes of the public.  The Constitution and principles have nothing to do with it.  Winning is the only goal, but, the consultants will still make their millions even when they lose a campaign. 

Bottom line: they help Marxist politicians to fake it and pass as pro-Americans.  What do they care?  It's no skin off their noses. 

The Democrat Party gets big banking and big business in bed with them through processes that can only be describes as extortion.  The sordid history of Fannie May and Freddy Mack are typical.  Banks are pressured by government to make loans to people who would not qualify for the loans, or face charges of discrimination, or whatever else can be dreamed up.  Other large companies facing anything from an IRS audit of "irregularities" to some conjured-up EPA violation, or some OSHA violation, or some "equal opportunity" violation, etc., are let off the hook with some gigantic political contribution, and with public support of some candidate or some issue. 

This is a form of Crony Capitalism in which government captures and controls, to some degree, big business.  Mixing of the private and public sectors in such a manner at such a level will ultimately result in a Fascistic or National Socialist form of dictatorship. 

The Republican Party gets to the same place by another means.  Big bankers and big industrialists, drawn to political power, become less dedicated to their investors and share holders than they are to the accumulation of personal political power.  They willingly get into bed with politicians and Parties, through gigantic political contributions and currying favor in exchange for having their political "advice" given favorable consideration.  To hell with responsibility to share holders; this political power is heady stuff. 

This is a form of Crony Capitalism in which Capitalists seek to grab the reigns of political control from the hands of the elected office holders.  Again, mixing of the private and public sectors in such a manner at such a level will ultimately result in a Fascistic or National Socialist form of dictatorship. 

What is totally forgotten in all of these political shenanigans is the principle of the separation of public and private spheres of operation. 

Business is private.  Government is public. 

Only in Constitutional America is this true.  Other nations "nationalize" whole industries, and then "privatize" them again, in cycles.  We are not supposed to do that.  The only legitimate business of our government is to govern.  That's it.  To legislate law, to execute law and the adjudicate law.  Nothing else.  And even that is limited, by Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.  If it isn't in there, the federal government has no Constitutional business even addressing it in law. 

But, for a hundred years, beginning with Woodrow Wilson, our government has violated this principle, beginning with the creation of the Federal Reserve, on through to the governmental stealing of GM and Chrysler private capital investment, the semi-nationalization of two thirds of our auto industry, and the creation of Obama Motors. 

And now we have before us the Obamanation of Obamacare.  Every single part of this "law" is a violation of the Constitution.  It was not even passed through the legislative process properly.  It was rammed through even despite the overwhelming opposition of the people.  This is a shining  example of our own government governing in direct opposition to the American citizenry, at the insistence of both political Parties. 

As we pointed out in Two Party Treason, every Senator and every Representative who voted to pass this "law" violated his or her oath of office in doing so.  The President who signed it into law violated his oath of office in doing so.  Every Supreme Court Justice who voted to sustain and uphold it when challenged violated their oaths of office in doing so.  Every one of them should be impeached from office, at the very least, just based on this one violation of their oaths alone.  It would be hard to find even one small area of American civil life that is not in some way adversely affected by this massive, all inclusive, invasive, monsterous law. 

It has been being developed and waiting in the wings for over 50 years for an opportune moment to be passed.  And now, defenders, from both Parties, say "It's the law of the land" as if that's the final word. 

But it's still un-Constitutional.  You don't need any law degree to know that it is un-Constitutional.  All you need to make that determination for yourself are three things:

1. An accurate copy of the Constitution. 
   
2. The ability to read. 
   
3. The ability to properly comprehend what you read. 
   

Very simple; nothing to it. 

Doing or directing health care, and directing or providing any kind of insurance, are not even the proper Constitutional business of government; they are properly the business of private industry, unhindered by government. 

Especially noteworthy are the "carve-outs" for special groups so that they, and they alone, will not be affected by Obamacare, beginning with our treacherous federal government itself.  Congress and the President keep their existing health care plans; you don't.  Many Crony-Capitalist companies and some companies held to be critical for support, at least for a short time, are similarly exempted. 

And so are any workers who's health care plan contracts resulted from Communist Bargaining.  (I mean Collective Bargaining.)  That means, of course, Organized Labor and Big Unions.  And that in turn means, nearly every teacher in America, nearly every journalist in America, and nearly every non-military government employee in America, from the lowest government drone, to the petty bureaucrat to the big shot bureaucrat.  They all get a break; you don't. 

Do you see any political Party around here doing anything at all to stop any of this?  That's funny; neither do I.  The Democrat Party is clearly working to destroy Constitutional America, from many, many different angles and with many divergent stratagems.  The Republican Party appears to be cooperating in the effort.  They don't even try to slow anything down.  I have come to the conclusion that the Republican Party is in on the game; they too are working, as "Progressives" or "Moderates" or whatever label you want to put on their Marxist anti-Americanism, to bring the Constitution down in favor of a government of total statism, which is to say, dictatorship. 

The main reason for that conclusion is that it is incomprehensible to me that McCain, Boehner, Rove, etc., could possibly be so downright, blindly stupid as to not understand what the Democrats are up to here.  They must be in on it.  They must be part of this great Marxist gamble.  If it were otherwise, if they loved America and they opposed the Democrats, then they would be too stupid to take the next breath, and they would all suffocate. 

Every time any scandal or breaking news causes chaos enough to make Comrade Obama to begin to look bad, another anti-Constitution stratagem is employed to distract our attention, and make us look at something else for awhile.  Now that Obamacare is blowing up, they - both Parties - will very quickly pass something leading to amnesty for all the criminal aliens, and Obama will very quickly sign it into law. 

Watch and see. 

But the hands of Comrade President Barack Hussein "Kiss My Ass Because It's Black" Obama, Peace Be Upon Him, will be clean, you see.  He will only be doing "the people's will."  He didn't know the real numbers of criminal aliens here was way over thirty million.  He doesn't ever know anything. 

He didn't know about his justice department running guns to Mexican criminals in the Fast and Furious program.

He didn't know about his state department running guns from Al Queda in Libya to Al Queda in Syria, and he didn't know about his state department purposely sending an American Ambassador into an Al Queda ambush on the anniversary of 9/11 to have him killed there, and to have all other evidence of the secret gun running operation and colusion with Al Queda destroyed.  (He thought it was a video.) 

He didn't know about the NSA snooping.  He didn't know about the IRS harassing.  He didn't know George Zimmerman was not white.  He didn't know you couldn't keep your health care plan.  He didn't know your costs would go up instead of down.  He didn't know you couldn't keep your own doctor.  He didn't know you couldn't keep your full time job.  And if all of that is true, then he probably didn't even know he was President. 

Now hear this:

Any time you hear anyone, from any Party, say that our current existing immigration program is broken or not working, you will be listening to a treacherous anti-American liar. 

Any time you hear anyone, from any Party, say that our current existing border security program is broken or not working, you will be listening to a treacherous anti-American liar. 

There is nothing wrong with our immigration system other than that it is not being enforced. 

There is nothing wrong with our border security program other than that it is not being enforced. 

It is against the law to not enforce existing law.  Not enforcing the law is a crime involving the whole of the Executive branch of government.  Not enforcing immigration and border control law is an ongoing criminal activity involving multiple administrations.  Congress is complicit in the crime, because Congress stood by and said nothing while the crime went on and the cancer grew. 

They did it and are doing it on purpose.

This didn't all develop as a result of many men adopting the ideology of Marx, so much as it developed within political Parties intent more on political expediency than principle.  Any true patriots you find among elected federal office holders will be among individuals here and there; their patriotism will not be reflected in any large body or any political Party, except as lip service and political play-acting. 

Another word about Islam, before I wrap this up. Both major Parties, and probably all existing political Parties, still hold to the false notion that Islam is a religion of peace.  And that all the terrorists coming out of Islam are radicals, because Jihadism is an extreme or unusual outgrowth of miss-interpreted Islam, or something like that. 

Ho hum, heavy sigh and here we go again. 

How do we analyze and judge a Moslem or group of Moslems to be a danger to us, or not?  Well, we can look at their spoken and written words, and what they have to say for themselves, as a beginning point. 

If I had to decide which was more warlike, Jihadist and dangerous to non-Moslems between, say, Osama Bin Laden's declaration of war against us, Israel and Western Civilization, and the words of Mohammed - I would have to give the edge to Mohammed for being the more forceful, violent, cruel, unforgiving and unyielding of the two.  But that's just me. 

I don't know about you, but if I had to decide between all the anti-
Christian, anti-Jew, anti-infidel, murderous incitements to violent jihad, between all the Fatwah's ever issued by any Moslem in all of Islamic history, and the Koran - I would have to give the edge to the Koran, again, for being more forceful, violent, cruel, unforgiving and unyielding of the two.  

It is the Koran, which is the recorded words of Mohammed, that gives the readers descriptions of the heated irons, iron hooks, boiling water, etc., with which we infidels are to be tortured.  It is the Koran that tells the reader to hunt us down, ambush us, and kill us wherever they find us. 

Again, don't take my word for it.  All you need to prove or disprove what I'm saying here are three things:

1. A good copy of the Koran.
2. The ability to read.
3. The ability to comprehend what you read. 
   

Very simple; nothing to it. 

Islam means submission.  The whole, sole purpose of Islam is to grow itself at our expense, by:

1. Forcefully converting us into Islamic religion, or,
2. Forcefully subjugating us under Islamic law, or,
3. Killing us. 

It was not some radical imam in some radical mosque who pointed Moslems in that direction; it was Mohammed, in his Koran.  If anyone out there is looking for where, how and by whom peaceful Moslems are being "radicalized" into Jihadists and terrorists, you don't have to look any farther than the Koran. 

Read and learn. 

Limiting and Restricting Political Parties.  It is abundantly clear, and it becomes more clear over time, that neither major political Party may be depended upon to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.  The primary purpose driving the Democrat Party today is Marxist Redistributionism and Collectivism, through the growth of government bureaucracy.  The primary purpose driving the Republican Party today is Bipartisan Cooperation and "getting things done."  Neither Party defends the Constitution, even as a secondary or tertiary goal, or even as a passing thought. 

If we had a new Party, say, a political organization involving the Tea Party, and we called it the Constitution Party, would not that Party be preferable to the two major Parties existent today? 

No.

We already have the Constitution; that should be all we need.  All elected officials are already sworn, whether falsely or not, to uphold the Constitution.  What America needs is for all officials who violated their oaths of office to be impeached from office, and be replaced by honest men and women who love the Constitution. 

None of that is going to happen unless we take back the Senate and increase control of the House, with like-minded America-loving Constitutionalists.  That means Tea Party candidates.  Articles of Impeachment are drawn up by the House, but cases of Impeachment are tried in the Senate.  As we have pointed out elsewhere herein, nobody is going to successfully impeach anybody so long as Marxist Democrats control the Senate.  Harry Reid would not ever so much as bring any House-submitted articles of Impeachment to the floor of the Senate in the first place. 

But, what is worse, to me, is the fact the the Republican Party, as it is today, has never ever even considered drafting any articles of Impeachment.  If they truly loved the Constitution, they would at the very least make a show of opposing what it going on; but they do not.  This administration picks and chooses what laws to enforce, what laws to not enforce, modifies existing legislated law without going back to Congress, spies on the citizenry, uses the IRS and other bureaucracies to strong-arm political opposition, and on, and on, and on, and the Republican Party does nothing whatsoever. 

That alone should tell you all you need to know. 

Political Parties are a political distraction from the true business of government.  There have always been and likely there will always be "caucuses" of office-holders supporting some bill or opposing some issue, but the existence of large, powerful political Parties clouds every serious issue by raising the specter of "Political Expediency" as, eventually, becoming the most important topic for the office holder to consider.  The most important topic for the office holder to consider should always be to protect the American citizenry from the American government.  Political Parties do not do that. Political Parties are unrepresentative of the people.  And they are unaccountable to the people. 

• Political Parties should be restricted from the political nominating process.  Allegiance of candidates for office should be to the Constitution, not to any Party.

• Political Party conventions should be eliminated.  Presidential Candidates can be elected by the people without any giant political circus and without any back-room deals.   
• Political Party Primary Elections should be replaced by one big national open Primary, from which the two Presidential Candidates with the most votes would be selected to run against each other for election. 

McCain-Feingold and all other political campaign and finance law should be repealed and replaced with a very simple, straightforward political contribution law, involving:

1. Unlimited contribution numbers and unlimited contribution amounts, made solely by American Citizens and other America-Based entities.
2. Full public disclosure of all political contributions, clearly identifying all contributors and all amounts, in all contributions, line by line. 
   

With today's technology, keeping running track of contributions and contributors on individual candidate open-to-the-public websites should be an extremely easy thing to do. 

The Reason for the Oath.  Why do you suppose that a new United States Marine, like a new President, does not swear to protect this nation, or this land, or this people, but instead, he swears to protect an old, dusty legal document?  Why swear to defend the Constitution alone? 

Because America is more than a nation, and more than a people; America is an idea.  That idea is given form and concretized in the Constitution.  The Constitution Constitutes, or Makes America what she is, or what she is supposed to be.  Because of our absolutely unique Constitution, our flag stands for more than a mere nation; it stands for an idea that can grant and protect freedom and liberty to the common man, that he may prosper by the work of his own hands, that he may worship when, where and as he pleases, and that he has some say in his own destiny, and in the running of his nation. 

So long as the Constitution stands, no one tells any American to shut up and get on the cattle car. 

Again, - only so long as the Constitution stands. 

This American idea is what you must internalize, understand, love, and teach to your sons and daughters. 

If this unique American idea of liberty is not perfectly in line with Roman Catholic moral teaching, let me say this about it:  If America were living and acting in strict accordance with the Constitution today, America might be more "Catholic" than any other nation on earth, short of the Vatican itself. 

Wen acting in perfect freedom, the committed and objective seeker of Truth will eventually wind up in the Catholic Church, if he lives long enough and remains dedicated long enough.  Christianity demands that the would-be disciple come freely into the Church.  That can only be done in freedom.  That means, in freedom, some will choose another path.  But here, in America, they are always free to choose, except wherever Marxist Democrats have un-Constitutionally dis-informed, dissuaded or blocked their ability to freely choose. 

The Catholic Church has the best opportunity of evangelizing wherever men enjoy guaranteed citizen liberty.  That's what the Constitution does, and that is what political Parties oppose, or too weakly support. 

In the end, it all comes down to priorities.  Your allegiance should be to God first, family second, and your nation third.  In America, allegiance to your nation should be recognized as allegiance to the very idea of America, as founded in the Declaration, and as formed in the Constitution. 

Teach your children and grandchildren about it.  They may not know. 

Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life.

I can make such an arrogant statement by standing on the Revelation of God, which tells us that the Church is the "pillar and bulwark of Truth" (1 Tim 3:15).  The Lord Himself is the Truth (John 14:6) and the center of all truth.  Even the very name of God, "I AM" (Exod 3:14), indicates that He is the only thing that simply IS, and always was; everything else is created. 

Every committed and objective search for truth must ultimately arrive at God, and the true Revelation of God is best preserved in the Deposit of Faith, which is carefully maintained and professed by the one and only Church He founded, aided by the good counsel of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16 - 26).

I don't see how this can be accomplished without an organized political party to begin with.  No candidates without party support could beat republicans in primaries or democrats in elections.  The tea party has to form a real party just to win anything; after winning both houses maybe it might be possible to abolish parties.  But how do you get there without major organization to even compete in the current political arena?

I didn't say it would be easy, or that victory would be likely, or even possible. 

I do believe that that kind of thinking is exactly what Karl Rove and other strategists are trying to herd us into.  He wants us to form a third Party.  Look at the history of it. 

Jiminy Carter was elected in a three Party contest, in which more people voted against him than for him, and he advanced the Marxist-Progressive agenda by leaps and bounds. 

Billary Clinton was elected, twice, in two (2) three Party contests, in each of which more people voted against him than for him, and he too advanced the Marxist-Progressive political agenda by leaps and bounds. 

The lesson in this, for the Marxist-Progressive strategist:

The important thing to note is this:  The Republican Party, too, is Marxist-Progressive.  The only difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that the Republicans offer a slower, steadier, less noticeable progression into an eventual state of total Statism, in which the government rules all and the people have no say.  It took me a long time to realize this. The Republican Party has more in common with the Democrat Party than with the Tea Party. 

Where the Democrats are "serious" Marxists, the Republicans are more big-government oriented, for purposes of job security and career advancement.  There is always a place for an obedient, stalwart Party backer, or a good propagandist, or a good political strategist, or a good adviser, or a good crony-capitalist, or a good community organizer, etc., in an all powerful government, and always a chance for further advancement.   

The Republican Party has not only not supported, but has actively opposed Tea Party candidates for office.  The Republican Party plan is to get the Tea Party alienated from the Republican Party enough to split off and form a real Party of their own, which the Republicans can then crush in a major primary election.  The fact that that will bring about another major Democrat victory is no skin off their noses.  You can see how Marxism has advanced here under Comrade Obama.  Imagine what would happen with another major Democrat victory here. 

Remember, these strategists, like Rove, have no real allegiance to us, or to America, or to the Constitution.  They are paid employees.  They can switch employers at the drop of a hat.  They can go to work for the Democrats, and Democrat political strategists can be hired by the Republicans.  Think of them as mercenaries.  All they do is strive to win political contests, and become rich and famous in so doing. 

Bottom line, if a candidate like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee or Sarah Palin cannot win a heads-up, man-to-man primary against a Republican Party backed candidate, with the full force of the Republican Party, the Democrat Party and the Mainstream Media working hard against them, then America is lost. There could even be "fake" third Party candidates sneaked into the race, either by Democrat or Republican strategists, or both, just to siphon off conservative votes.  That is the nature of political Parties. 

He didn't say it would be easy.  He said pick up your cross and follow me. Truth wins in the end.  That does not necessarily mean that America wins. 

We should not go down with a whimper.  We should fight hard to the end.  Purely Political Parties are just not the right way to run America.

What do you think about Ann Coulter?  She says Cruz can't win and Christie can win.  Don't we need to win before we can do all these changes?  If tea party candidates all lose, all is lost all at once.  If we get at least some moderate Republicans in office, wouldn't that be better?

Ann Coulter, like Charles Krouthammer and a lot of other pseudo-conservative commentators, is an inside-the-beltway "establishment" sophist.  The only possible reason a Cruz might lose and a Christie might win in a Republican Presidential primary race is that she, and they, along with the rest of the inside-the-beltway establishment crowd, along with the Republican Party, along with the Democrat Party, along with the solidly Democrat News Media, would do everything in their power to see to it that Cruz would lose and Christie would win. 

And the Marxists would have successfully picked our candidate for us again, as they did with Dole, and as they did with McCain, and as they did with Romney. 

And then, once they have succeeded in getting our candidate set up to run against their Democrat pick, all of these factions except the Republican Party will suddenly turn on Christie and absolutely destroy him, while the Republican Party advises him to not go negative or defend himself.  Again.  It's a tiresome replay of an old, tried and true Democrat strategy.  It's no big deal to the establishment Republican Party if their candidate loses.  As I said before, they have more in common with the Democrat Party than with their own voter base. 

Consider what happens to America if, by some chance, Christie would win and become President.  He would grant amnesty to all the criminal aliens, he would radically advance gun control, and he would continue the current government trend of restricting energy, regulating, taxing and enormous spending to advance the open fraud of global warming, among other things.  How would any of that improve our situation? 

Christie would be bad for America, win or lose.  Ann Coulter is not smart enough to know that. 

Don't think of the establishment Republican Party as a political Party.  Think of them as just one clique in an Old Boy's Club of professional politicos, that includes the Democrat Party, Washington High Society, the News Media, Academia, Celebrity-hood and Pop-Culture.  Strictly excluded from this small club is the Tea Party.

No it wouldn't.  The political Parties would be perfectly free to assemble and associate all they cared to.  They simply would no longer have the exclusive right to pick political candidates for federal office between them.  The Constitution nowhere names any non-government organization or group of organizations and grants them the exclusive privilege of choosing candidates for high office in American government.  That's not how Washington was elected to office. 

Bottom line, all three branches of our federal government have betrayed the Constitution.  The Democrat Party is out to sweep the Constitution into the dustbin of history.  The Republican Party doesn't give a damn.  All that is left to save the Constitution is We The People.  If we don't fix it, it won't get fixed.

But you did use the language "outlaw political parties".  That cannot fly constitutionally.  Moreover, the Democrats and Republicans don't have exclusive authority as it is.  There are provisions for "write-in" candidates (varies state by state).

Well, when you're right, you're right.  Thank you very much.  I have modified the language to "restrict" political Parties from nominating authority.  States have the ability of nominating their own candidates without the use of any political Parties, and with internet technology arising as it is today, we have less and less need to rely on the news media for our information.

That could end up with a political contest between 50 favorite sons from 50 states.  You could wind up with two top ranked candidates neither of which has very many primary votes, but barely more than all the rest.  You're on the right track, but ...

Good point.  It could be solved by two big national, wide-open, no-Party primary elections, if necessary. 

• If the first national primary produced more than ten good candidates, the top ten of that primary would become candidates for a second national primary, which would select the top two to run against each other in the actual election. 
• If the first one produced 10 or less, there would be no need for the second; take the top two and go to election. 
  

Hey, I never said I was a genius; but we ain't getting out of this Constitutional mess without getting out of the political Party mess we have now.  The ones who got us into this situation will not be the ones to get us out of it. 

Just as a side note, from today's readings and the homily at Mass, it's good to remember that the Pharisees and the Sadducees were more political than theological; they were opposing political Parties.   What goes around comes around.

You asked the same question back on November 9, 2013.  You probably read the article again because I just updated it for the website name change, which brought it back to the top of the Blog Roll.  See the discussion above.  You're right.  We cannot outlaw outright a political Party, but we can restrict it from running the country, i.e., from picking our political candidates and our political issues for us.  We should be able to do that for ourselves. 

Politics is sometimes like making sausage; it's ugly and never perfect.  But what we have now is nothing but two big professional political organizations with their own self interest above ours, and above the Constitution.  These two Parties are destroying the Constitution between them.  The Marxocrats are out to quietly destroy the Constitution, and the Republicrats only care about their own personal careers and personal agendas, growing the government and maintaining the status quo.
