Words have meaning. Today, what does the word Jesus mean to America?
We worry about the meaning of life when we should worry about the meaning of death. This world and all our vanities exist only in time; but what about eternity?

You should look up the word Entropy.
Entropy tells us that all matter and indeed all life is passing away. Scripture implies that time and space, too, are passing away. Time, space, matter and life are all creatures, i.e., creations. They have a Creator. The Creator is and must be outside of and independent of time, space, matter and life.
Every worldly thing we plan for, seek, acquire, achieve or hope to accomplish is a passing vanity.
Everything, including even time, is passing away. At the end, is Eternity.
Yesterday, Sunday, January 3, 2021, was the feast of the Holy Name of Jesus in the 1962 Latin Missal. And the homily on the Holy Name and the Meaning of Words prompted this web page.
The Introit was from Philippians 2:10-11.
At the Name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.
The Lesson was from the Acts of Apostles, 4:8-12.
In those days, Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said, Rulers of the people and elders, if we are on trial today about a good work done to a cripple, as to how this man has been cured, be it known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, Whom God has raised from the dead, even in this Name does he stand here before you, sound. This is 'The stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.' Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
And the Gospel was from Luke 2:21.
At that time, when eight days were fulfilled for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given Him by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
At the end of every Latin Mass is the last Gospel, sung or said by the Priest, which is, for me, at the core of my Catholic faith; it is of course John 1, 1-14. But the key clause is the one most overlooked by nearly everyone who reads it; the one that seals the "Godness" of Jesus, Who was God made incarnate. And that clause is in John 1, 10:
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He is the Second Person of the Trinity: God made man, for our understanding. He didn't have to be born; He didn't have to be circumcised; he didn't have to be baptized; He didn't have to call the sinners to redemption and He didn't have to chastise the unrepentant; He didn't have to suffer and be crucified, as a man, and die to this life; but He did. For us.
So that we could see the Truth, the Way and the Life. And choose.
What does the name of Jesus mean to you?
What does the name of Jesus mean to your family?
What does the name of Jesus mean to your teachers and entertainers?
What does the name of Jesus mean to your employers and fellow workers?
What does the name of Jesus mean to your political party?
What does the name of Jesus mean to you elected representatives?
What does the name o Jesus mean to your nation?
Are we Americans still a distinct and identifiable People?
How so? How, exactly, may we be distinctly identified as a people?
Does Truth, Justice and the American Way even exist any more?
History records how we got here.
First, Christianity was fractured by the heretical rebellion of Luther, Munzer, et al, and their new "Protestantism" gave birth to a radical legal combination of Church and State, in which European and British citizens were forcibly subjected to the religious preferences of their ruling nobles.
Second, the Pilgrims colonized America to escape the religious persecution of the various Protestant European and British nobility and worship as they freely chose to worship.
Third, the American Constitution was ratified granting freedom of religion to the citizenry, assuming that no religion would infringe the freedom of worship of any other religion.
Fourth, the infamous and unconstitutional principle of Separation of Church and State was illegally established, and, pushed by anti-Christian political party agendas, began a process of Secularization (or religious cleansing) first, of government, then, of education and of the whole population. (Note that suppression of Christian religion is a direct violation of the Constitution.)
Fifth, the always anti-American Democrat Party which gave birth to the Confederacy lost the Civil War and went Marxist, which is to say, exactly opposite to and opposing of all Constitutional rights of American citizens, especially rights to religious freedom, freedom of speech and press, freedom of association, the right to keep and bear arms, the rights to liberty and all rights to the possession of any private property. We refer to them today as the Marxocrat Party.
Sixth, the once pro-Constitution Republican Party, working closely in "bipartisan cooperation" with the Marxocrats over the years, morphed into the Republicrat Party we see today, and the two Parties together may be thought of as one "Uni-Party" working mostly with each other in opposition to the Constitution and Constitutional rule over America, driving toward a New World Order.
Seventh, we have what we see today, which is, rule by Political Party.
President Trump alone, without even the full support of his own cabinet, stands on the Constitution. Every Party and every other now party-ruled branch of government is aligned against him.
He swore an oath, and words have meaning. Especially oaths of office.
All the others swore oaths too, but just as the theater of pomp and circumstance of the prideful elite. The real meaning words they mouthed was lost on them. Trump has kept his word; they have broken theirs.
When the First Principle Of Truth begins to be the least bit forgotten, ignored or abandoned in any individual let alone in any whole people, that individual begins to guide and predestine his own inevitable spiritual "entropy" into the horrible side of eternity.
Words have meaning. Man's understanding of words is changeable, but the Word of God does not change. "What is Truth?" asked Pontius Pilot, when the Truth was standing right in front of him.
But God has another title: Love. And just as often as misinformed and malformed citizens today seek psychiatric, psychological, religious or occultist answers to silly questions such as "What is the meaning of life", and "What is the purpose of our being", they also ask, "What is love?"
They should have been taught from the Baltimore Catechism from earliest childhood, but they were not. If they had been, they might have saved a lot of time, money and worry seeking answers from the world that could have been answered by any good Priest, for free. And yet, today, it's gotten so bad that you might have to carefully search just to find a good Priest who is true to his calling and his vows.
1 John 8, and again in verse 16, it says "God is Charity." What is that? Charity is love perfected. It is perfect love, or, God. It is how God loves, expecting nothing in return. His love is just given, to all, whether it is returned or not, whether it is appreciated or not, whether it is wanted or not. Men are free to accept it and return it, or to reject it and even curse it. It is still given. It is always there.
In the world Charity has come to mean, predominantly, monetary or other aid given freely to someone in need, expecting nothing in return. Almost lost today is it's real meaning, which is, perfect love.
Proper love is a decision. Not an emotion. A decision. A final decision.
Emotion has nothing to do with it. It is contractual. A commitment.
Perfected love, or charity, is an absolute, unbreakable dedication.
Look at Luke 14 verse 26:
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
In the context of the language and the linguistic understanding of the day that did not mean to "despise" your family and your own life, but to purposely choose Jesus over every thing and every one in and of this world. To follow Jesus is to deny the world.
Again, emotion and feelings have nothing to do with it. It is a decision.
Freely given.
It must be freely given. If it is not freely given, it is not and cannot be true love.
When the world began to forget the One God Principle it began the inevitable drift away from truth and into one falsehood after another.
In a similar manner, when the world began to emphasize emotion over true charity, it began the inevitable drift away from the permanence of the marriage contract and into the breakup of the normative family.
Today, all entertainment, from novels, to music, to the stage and the screen, and to art, all emphasizes romance and emotion over charity.
Emotions are transient and changeable; charity is fixed and permanent.
Today people are horrified by the traditions of long ago when marriages were "arranged" between families. What if they didn't "love" each other, ask the "experts" who don't really know what true love is. Look back at just how many of those old, supposedly cruel marriages lasted for whole lifetimes, and compare that number to those that last that long today.
Compare the size and prosperity of the the families of that era to that of today's broken and merged, re-broken and re-merged families, or even all the broken and re-merged unmarried random couplings.
And finally, compare the couples of that era, their obvious affection and attention to each other and the care they receive in their old age from their own large families, to the condition of the aged couples of today, assuming they are even still together.
Which marriages were based on firm, contractual decisiveness, and which were based on transient feelings and emotions, if not lust?
There is a relationship between the cultural trivialization of the marriage contract and the trivialization of the oath of office. Today, a man can give his word on just about any topic, and then break it at will. Most men's given word means next to nothing today.
And that is why all of Donald Trump's promises made and promises kept seem so shocking to everyone today. He gives his word and he keeps it. And that once common and very simple thing has now become rare.
So, with the gradual cultural abandonment of the acceptance of God's grace, we see recognition of truth, or reality, twisted and perverted into all sorts of culturally embraced un-realities, and we see the world's version of popular, feelings-based, hyper-sensitive, over-emotional and perverse interpretation of on-again off-again true love.
And much of it is politicized, politically pushed, politically aggravated and made part of the political agendas of Marxists and Political Parties.
What Party promotes transgenderism, and encourages little children to have "feelings" and determine for themselves what "gender" they might be, other than their own biological sex, and then encourages "doctors" to use drugs and/or surgery to physically, spiritually and emotionally mutilate them? Who are the political champions of such nonsense?
The same ones who falsely label us to be the science deniers.
Supposed "Scientific Expert" bureaucratic administrators and their whole out-of-scope and unconstitutional regulating bureaucracies, like Fauci and Birx, spend multiple decades of time and untold billions of our tax dollars developing a vaccine for a likely drug-abuse problem (AIDS) which is not even an infectious disease. And they still believe, wrongly, that the infectious yet perfectly harmless HIV retrovirus, which has no symptoms and therefore is not even a disease, has some magical way of transforming itself into AIDS. They can't prove it, for the simple reason that it is not true; yet, they believe it, and more that is false, such as the Chinese Covid Pandemic fraud they are pushing as if it were leprosy, and as if the healthy population was the infected population.
And they are the ones who call us the science deniers.
The Political Parties, like Academia, are loaded down with people holding advanced degrees in such nonsensical lunacies and outright lies as Critical Race Theory, Feminine Studies, Queer Theory, Institutional, Systemic and even Genetic Racism and Sexism, Transgender "Rights", "Natural" homosexuality, and the "Historical" Racism of Lincoln, King and All Other Republicans.
And they are the ones who call us racist, sexist, bigots and science deniers.
We should not be too surprised that today so many who up until now have been thought of as on the Right, now publicly proclaim that President Trump should just ignore all the criminal fraud committed to undo his reelection, pretend it didn't happen and concede the Presidency to China Joe Biden and his whole criminal Marxocrat Party, Xi Jinping and his CCP, and the Great Global Reset, and just kiss Constitutional America goodbye.
After all, the Party has investigated itself and found itself exonerated of any fraud. Multiple Marxocrat judges have said so.
After all, they are among the ones who decide who the reality deniers are.
Words have meaning.
Spend some time contemplating the words Truth, and Love.
And then spend some quiet time contemplating the word Jesus.
Once you understand those words, everything else will fall into place.
And as it is for any and every individual person, so it is for any and every whole people.
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.
Pray for a strategic alliance between President Trump and excommunicated Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano against the common conspiratorial criminality in the American and Catholic political parties.
